Sorry to be a downer but I am reasonably sure it is not a redemption weekend like last year. The cashiers at my Shoppers have been very helpful in telling whenever they know although they have been wrong at times. Next weekend is most likely a "20x points WUS customized amounts" promotion. Anyways, we will know when the flyer is posted in advance today/Tuesday. I would be really happy if I am wrong though!

With the value of beauty redemption falling to normal levels unlike last year (when redemption was at $200/80000 points), I have feeling that we might not see $200 normal redemption as frequently as last year. I have seen only one $200 non-beauty/anything redemption since I started using the program (Nov 28, 2015). I am considering spending some of my points at $170 levels before they introduce any more changes because of Loblaws.

I was hoping for a redemption this month as well, but I think I'll go and do $170 tonight. No Monday pts coupons, and some great Monday sales! Time to stock up on butter, pop, pizza, diapers, toilet paper, chips, milk... I'll have no problem getting to $170. I wonder if my 15x coupons will work on a redemption? Not counting on it, but it would would be nice if they did!

I find whenever it's a special redemption day that the sales suck for me anyway so best doing it when you see good deals on the items you want.

I find as long as it's not attached to a dollar amount you get the points even when you redeem.
