Today I have the greatest happiest feeling inside of me...This morning when my garbage men came to pick up my trash I had a gift basket for each one...the regular garbage guy and the recylce guy...I live in a small rual community and these guys are great all year round for picking up the trash...So I thought since I have been blessed with my deals from couponing that I would give them something special to show them they are appreciated....when they came they each knocked on my door overwhelmed by my gift....I told them they deserve it....it feels so good to do something for someone who is not usually shown appreciation...here is what was in each of their gift baskets
1 Irish Spring deodorant
1 Degree deodorant
2 Mens Dove body wash
1 mini Duracell charger
2 Listerine Whitening mouthwash
1 Oral B battery toothbrush
1 Crest toothpaste
1 box of Pot of Gold chocolate
1 $10.00 Timmie's Gift cardThis thread is currently associated with: Spring Shoes

That's such a nice idea! I made up a gift basket for my brother and sister-in-law with a lot of the same stuff. The basket cost more than all the stuff inside it! LOL.

So nice of you. I love my Canada Post mailman. So when he delivered 2 parcels on Friday, I let him choose from either a big box of Lindt chocolate or Quality Street. He chose the Lindt and kept asking me if I was sure. I said, "Heck yes! You deserve it." and he was so happy. Feels great to give when they really deserve it.

actually there are.. sorta. when CT had their Scratch cards awhile back and most were $5.. i used those cards to purchase the wicker baskets (oval or square) with handles that were on for $3.97.. (if i remember correctly) then threw in a lindor trial pack (3's) for $.99 to bring it up $5... I had hubby and each kid buy one.. so I had 3.. they worked great for the baskets i did for my neighbors.. so actually there are coupons for baskets
just a little tip to keep in mind the next time CT does that.

Is there any question why I love this site? You guys rock! Its very heartwarming when you read about the little kindnesses you show and about how appreciated your giving nature is by those around you.
Thumbs up!!!
