    Sounds about right!

OK, yeah, they'd be useful for that!

For most of us our bums are just skin like the rest of us. You'll probably find worse germs on a doorknob or when you put your hand on the handle and flush. Wash your hands well afterwards and you're all good.

I have no scientific evidence of course, but IMO, unless you have an open sore there's probably not much you can get from the public toilet seat. From what I've read, urine is pretty much sterile anyhow, only risk is if there's poo on the seat. And honestly, if you see poo on the seat, are you going to slap your cover on there, sit down and think it's all A-OK?

I probably sound like I live in a pigpen. Not true at all, we keep things clean, but I'm just not germaphobic. I don't feel hand sanitizers are good things either, a thorough handwashing with soap and water is all you need. But that's just me.

I'm actually planning on buying them. We love going on "no where" rides on the week end and these are nice to keep in the car along with the travel size rolls. Fit's in the glove compartment.

I REFUSE to use a public restroom. ESPECIALLY in Richmond (BC) its gross. BUT when my 5 year old has to go she has to go. so I line the seat with tp and hoist her up there. When we go in the bathroom stall I say "whats the rule?" she says "dont touch anything!" lol. she does her business and then I flush the toilet using my foot. wash and dry and antibacterial hand gel and were good to go!! I havnt bought those seat covers (I havnt seen them anywhere) But we have had Dora ones a few times for my girl LOL
Im not afraid of her catching anything...I just hate the thought of her sitting her bum down where I just had to wipe someone careless persons peepee off the seat.....

I bought DD a couple of these at the Dollarama years ago and she still has them. My kids are older now and they know how to squat. Taught them that years ago.

I remember I had to wash my hands at DD's elementary school and there was a stall where the toilet seat was covered in pee. A little girl came in, went to that stall, did not close the door, took off her pants and sat on the seat and did her business. Now that is gross.

A Toilet seat cover or toilet paper on a toilet seat isn't going to help you any. The only thing they're good for is kids who have yet to realize you can't catch anything from a toilet seat. But now I'm starting to get kind of afraid because I think I just realized why there's always pee on the seats in women's washrooms & how much more pee was probably on these seats before I got there
Good news is I found the covers in MJ, the bad news is someone else cleared the shelf already
I am currently looking for coupons for non parishable foods or grocery coupons good until December to help with Christmas food helpers.

Well I will admit I get them for the overage but I am planning on using a few in the outhouse at the cottage, town festivals etc. Most of mine will be sold in my charity sale in May and if there are any left they will get donated. They help me and I help others with them! Plus they will make a great game for my son's birthday....who can design the best toilet seat cover...lol!

I have only used toilet seat covers once, in the States where they are available at the restrooms there. Did not like it. Almost peed in my pants trying to lay it down right and then stuck to me when I stood back up. Will not buy.

i have never bought them however the sobeys i shop at has them to use free in their washrooms and i use one whenever i go to the bathroom there. I dont think they are charmin they just have a huge box that hangs on the wall full of the covers. i have seen coin machines at some washrooms that you can buy one for 0.10-0.25$ but i would never pay that much for one i would just use toilet paper for free.

Regarding the travel size stuff -

    1. we use them when travel and
    2. when i make up gift bags for teachers, bus driver ect.
    3. I've been told that the shelters love the travel size - because the some of the people are homeless and carry them
    My 2 cents

I haven't bought any, but I dont see anything wrong with buying them as long as you're eventually going to use them. The overage is worth it, as long as you use it or give it to someone else that will. Personally, I dont have a use for them, but maybe when I do I might consider buying them.
