Is it still possible to get razors free or close to it?

I remember when I joined SC that people were getting great deals on razors, often free. People would have pics in their stockpiles with gobs of them. I haven't been able to find any great deals for ages. Now my 14 yr old wants to start shaving, so together with me and my other 16 yr old I am in need of razors!

Any advice on which coupons/brands to watch out for? I've got my p&g 's ready to go, just can't seem to find the deals, or is it me? Maybe me expectations are too high to get them really cheap?

From time to time Gilette will offer free trial offers so just keep your eyes peeled on here. The only coupon deal I have seen is this one that someone posted the other day:

well right now Fortino's has their Gillette Daisy & Gillette plus (Mens) on for $3.49.
Use the $2 off from brandsaver and get them for $1.49 for 12's.
The mens coupon has to be used on a 3 bladed razor, but i think (THINK) the Gillette plus is a 3 bladed razor.

OP, when we were able to stack Gillette coupons out west, free razors were pretty easy to come by. When you see stockpile pictures with lots of Proglide and Mach 3 razors there's a good chance these were from the good old P&G stacking days!

A lot of the time, it's being in the right place at the right time (and with the right coupons!). I finally got to use my Shopper's Voice coupon for Schick Hydro 5 the other day. Three dollars off a Movember pack that contained a razor, deodorant and shave gel. It was on clearance at SDM for $4.99, so OOP $1.99, not bad. I think a lot of my razor deals have been at SDM when they have their crazy clearouts. We don't buy disposable razors, so can't comment. I used to buy cartridges for the Fusion razors, but it was more economical to just use a new razor because I was getting them for $1-2 and the refills were around $4-5 each!

Proctor & Gamble have been really good about sending out razors in their Brandsamplers...I think I got two or three last year, and I only have the one account.

Always keep an eye out for clearances too. I found some clearance razors at SDM the other day. They were whichever Gilette razors the $2 off was for, so I paid $3 each for razors for hubby (or for me, lol)
But it is often trying to find a good sale and matching it with the right coupon!
And of course PG Brandsampler. There is almost always a razor in their sample packs. If you haven't already, call Schick for their free razor

but the $2 off for the Mens razor stipulates that they have to be 3 bladed razors.
I think the custom ones are, but i could be mistaken

As other people have said it's a matter of being in the right place at the right time with the right coupon.

This past September I managed to ge 12 Venus Embrace razors for .09 cents each. They normally cost $13.43 at Walmart + tax but I stumbled upon them being cleared out at Calgary CO OP for $1.99. I had $2.00 coupons so with the tax they were $2.09 each and the cashier rang the coupons in at $2.00 each so all I paid was .09 cents each. I ended up giving most of them away at Christmas to my sisters and Neices. I think I have 3 left for myself.

loblaws not long ago had daisy razors 12pk i think with a bonus razor for 4.99
and i`ve recently found a box of tampax pearl with a bonus venus razor in it and the box was 5.25

free razors are now a thing of the past unfortunately... i miss going in and buying 6 razors! i miss being able to freely give them away.. i havent in over a year since i have to now keep what i have on left for my needs, you can still get the occasional good deal on razors

That's kind of what I figured as well, I'm even finding bodywash for less than $1 is becoming more or a rarity. Thanks for the post...

In the DEALS section, Firstimer posted a thread about $1 razors at WM. Doesn't hurt to see if you can find these! Free with coupons. I picked up some boxes today that I think were left over from xmas, with shaving cream, facewash and razor (Gilette) on sale for $4 and you can use $2 off coupon because they are Proglide or you can use your $2 off Pro Fusion.
