A couple of weeks ago I went to a second hand store and found a Black and Decker steamer for $1.80 !! The store was closing and they had 75% off everything in the store. I got it not knowing if it worked or not. Cleaned it up tested it and it works
I did a search on it and it showed a picture of my model with two tiers not just one like I have.
I went to the Black and Decker site to see if I could order another tier but it said my model was not longer available so I wrote to them on their site and asked if there was any way I could order another tier, they wrote back asking my name address and phone number and they would get back to me. I heard nothing back from them then today canada post truck comes to my door with a box, it was from Black and Decker with the tier I was trying to order

and a letter saying here is the tier you were trying to find, hope you enjoy your steamer and at the bottom is said NO Charge

OMG I am still in shock. Going to email them and thank themThis thread is currently associated with: Canada Post

sometimes these companies will surprise you with awesome service.
Especially when it comes to spare parts, they do a great job at making sure ppl are satisfied with their product.
last week i had a huge fabric sample shipped to me from ohio, by a manufacturer. normally they charge shipping and handling and a fee for the fabric. they really were superb!
i had a mailbox i had issues with, and the US manufacturer sent me a part, no charge.
i worked a number of years with a manufaturer/distributer, and we did the same from time to time. if it was an oddball part, just hand it over. easy peasy
glad you got such a great deal, and such great service on top!In 2020 I had 100 FREE Grocery pickups! Subscribe to PC Optimum Insiders & get 25,000 PC Optimum pts

That's wonderful!
A few years ago I had a great experience with them and parts, as well. I have a breadmaker, well-loved and well-used. One part of the paddle thingee at the bottom broke, and I couldn't find a replacement anywhere. So as a last resort, I contacted them (didn't think they would do anything since it wasn't exactly a newer model) - and they sent TWO replacement parts.
