So I posted here explaining that because my mailbox is broken and doesn't close that I have to go to a depot to pick up my mail and only go once a week...now I don't know if it is an issue but I am only getting about half my mail...mostly bills. I have received a couple trades and what not but nowhere near what I should be. I am also mailing stuff out from there as they said I could and it seems only half of those are going out. Why me?! BAH!!! 😭😭😭😭😡😡😡😡😡😰😰😰😰

@balancedbooksosh did you ever find out if it is CP responsibility to repair the broken mail boxes or is it your Landlords' responsibility? Makes no sense to me that your regular flow of mail would be less when you go to pick it up compared to what you get with home delivery because the mail is not even leaving the depot. ( you know like less of a chance it gets " misdelivered " to another home. )

I am taking my landlord to the LTB because CP has said it isn't their responsibility and the landlord has said it is, so now I am waiting to go there to fight to have it fixed.

is there a chance that your just not getting the filler mail due to picking it up at the depot ( generic envies "to occupant" that don't have an actual address on it, junk mail, flyers, adverts..) i remember your post, you should pressure your landlord to get the box fixed.. unless there is a "CANADA POST" sign plastered all over the boxes they belong to the building and it is there responsibility to maintain their mailboxes.. our building had to replace our boxes a number of years ago due to damage.. i remember having to ride my bike down to the depot to get our mail (hubby had the car) and the depot wasn't in the best area of town..

It's definitely not in the best area that's for sure but I have no idea. Some of my trades haven't come through from the beginning of the month, packages are like nonexistent which is annoying as hell and all the while I know it's my landlords responsibility but he won't do anything about it
