E Coli Reported in Ground Beef (BC, ON, Man, NWT)

Not sure if this is in the right place

Just wanted to let you all know that there has been a recall on ground beef sold in some stores in BC, Ontario, Manitoba and Northwest Territories. I think it's only Thrifty Foods that the problems are at? So far DH and I are fine

I was at Superstore this afternoon and was looking for hot dogs when I notice an empty space.....the price tag was turned backwards with "recalled Feb 28?" written on the back. I looked at the front of the tag - it was for MAPLE LEAF Original Hotdogs. I don't think this is from the original Maple leaf recall.....I'm sure the store would have filled in the empty space by now.

I also don't recall their being anything in the news about this recall.....if it is a recently pulled item.

there was stuff in the news about it - at least here on A channel news they had stuff about it and city news did too

apparently the product wasn't even supposed to leave their warehouse...and it did for some reason
