  1. Thanks Lynn It's great to be back!
  2. Wimbly....we know little and understand even less about those things that are just barely out of our reach. I've had an after-death experience, but don't really talk about it since it's become 'the thing' to have, lol, but this was many years before it was even something people knew about! I kept it to myself for several years until a cousin of mine and I were chatting at a wedding after far too much wine, and she KNEW what had happened to me, and told me to read a particular book, and OMG....I finally felt that what had happened to me wasn't me going crazy, it had happened to lots of other people too!!!
Oh, there are real adventures out there after we pass into our 'real' reality! I'm excited to see it again. Not enough to want to go there right away...but when the time comes, I'm not afraid...I look forward to it!
I'm glad you felt some comfort from all our stories, Wimbly!!! Hugs...Lynn
  3. That story is something else for sure! I'm amazed at your experience. It also helps to reassure me that there is more to life than what is happening right now
  4. Wimbly, it seems we share our love of critters and the One who provides us with such remarkable companions...
  5. It's true I think they were sent her by God to help us get through our lives!
  6. Hi, Wimbly!
Our ship was the Navigator of the Seas...the largest ship afloat until its sister-ship the Oasis of the Seas was just released. It's very nice to be at port and have the biggest ship there...lol...and of course, with that large a ship I had to open the curtains in the morning to find out if we left port already:there was absolutely NO movement of the ship! We took those behind the ear patches (you have to buy them HERE) in case, but really didn't need them..just used them as a precaution.
Yes...seeing different countries certainly puts life here in perspective! If you do this cruise, I would suggest doing as we did, and spend a couple of days in Rome before your trip, and after. Our cabin, we booked almost a year in advance, since we knew we wanted a balcony (and they go quickly)..which is SO worth it! Our cabin was 7584, exactly mid-ship.
I'm not sure if I've written too much here, so I'll stop now...but if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask!!!...Lynn
  7. Awesome!! THanks Lynn!! We're not sure what we're thinking of doing yet, we've been trying to decide where we want to go next year, we're going to take our honeymoon (two years late, lol). I I kept thinking of places like Rome, so I thought why not see a bunch on a cruise! What cruise line did you go with?
  8. Thank you, Wimbly...I'll miss everyone but I'll be anxious to come back and share my adventures with you all!
    Take care, Sweetie!
  9. I hope you have an amazing trip!! It sounds so wonderful!
  10. It's true, they never leave our hearts. They are amazing companions. Trying to focus on the countless good memories. I was blessed to have known Scooby.
  11. Thank you for your comment on Tammy's photo....yes, she's dearly missed...she was every inch a lady...
  12. Wimbley, believe me I know how it is. After a few months I was able to get through days without thinking of her and crying..now, 5 months later, I thought I was fine. Then the other day I saw a dog being walked who looked just like her...I was sad all yesterday, and cried myself to sleep.
It gets better, but I think there will always be moments when something takes our breath away and we're reminded of our loss. You're so fortunate to at least have two other fur-kids to hug...Keep strong and remember the good life you gave her...Lynn
  13. That was really sweet of you Lynn. It's been a very hard week all the way through. I was finally able to look at pictures yesterday evening. We want to frame our favorite picture of her as a memorial. The days are moving slowly, wishing I could give her one last cuddle. But Newf (my other cat) hasn't left my side since I came home, which is a huge help.
  14. Hello, Wimbly...Just checking in on you....I know it's still raw and painful...one day at a time, Sweetie...
