I have loads of pics so please bear with me.
The fact that I have lots of pics indicates that I'm a total photography amateur so unlike some of the photography pros on our forum, my pics suck.
I'm adding the pics in the order I took them and will try adding some commentary
Firday ~3am Time Square
If you look to the right of this pic you'll see a guy wearing a mask?
I only noticed this now... weird
Toys R Us Time Square
So you wanna see my pics, you have to see the disgusting ones too . I was taking a pic when this guys walked in front of the camera blowing his nose.

Saturday Morning - The Metropolitan Museum of Art
I heard this museum was huge and fabulous but I never imagined it would be that large and still fun! If you're going to NYC you need to dedicate at least 6 hours to this museum.
I'm not exactly an "art" kind of person yet I really enjoyed the museum.
freaking construction ruined the look of the building from outside
Some randomly taken pics from the museum
I love this pic:
Stuffed shark
Modern art
Gotta love modern art:
Starving
Sorry had to remove myself from this pic hehe
Egyptian section

Saturday Late Afternoon - American Museum of Natural History
The Metropolitan Museum of Art was huge so we never got to finish it all but we had to leave or we'd spend the whole trip there.
Anyways, I thought things couldn't get any better. I was wrong! The American Museum of Natural History is spectacular! Being more of a science than arts guy, I loved this museum.
Just in case you guys don't know, this is the museum that was filmed in the movie "Night at the Museum"!!! Yes!!! I even saw parts that I remembered seeing in the movie!
oh, and admission to the The Metropolitan Museum of Art and The American Museum of Natural History is very cheap. Guess how much? Well it says $20 for adults but in small letters above it says "suggested". I had done my research online before going and I found out that the admission fee is a donation and you can pay whatever amount you want. So you can pay $1, $5, $10, $100... whatever you like. How much did I pay?
Remember this from the movie?
Here are the pics. All these animals are real stuffed animals. Unfortunately the pics will give no justice to this museum.
So all of the above pics are in displays just like in the movie. Here's a pic that makes this clearer:
And my favourite section! Dinosaurs!!
Cuz I'm a geek I had to take a pic of this malfunctioning screen in the museum
And my gift to SC'ers! STUFFED RODENTS
Boobies
No, not these... stop using your dirty mind
"Boobies are so called because sailors considered these fearless birds to be stupid"
The museum also had sections for all cultures. Unfortunately the museum was closing so I didn't get to see everything.
Darwin section was awesome! They had real skulls of a semi-human semi-ape person... trying to remember his name... hmmm
Also strange ones like these. These were built based on foot prints only.
Real Asteroid!

Saturday Evening - Night: Empire State Building, Madison Square Garden, Broadway & Time Square
I like taking pics of a large crowd on the other side of the street waiting to cross. Many movies have this scene... there's something exciting about it.
No I didn't get hit by a car
Special pics just for roseofblack

Sunday Morning/Afternoon: Central Park
In the middle of Manhattan's hustle and bustle, I find it amazing that such a wonderful and huge park exists. The park has a street that goes round it dedicated to bikes and rollderblades.
That day was terribly hot and it was very hard to enjoy anything is that heat.

The Subway stations are old and dirty.
All of NYC in general smells like garbage and sewage, the floors are filthy and the whole places is disgusting. I understand it's an old city with millions of visitors each year, but so are capital European cities and they're way cleaner. Kingston feels so ritzy compared to NYC

On our way back home
The tunnel where iRobot and a bunch of other movies were filmed. It goes under the river and takes about 10 minutes driving to drive from one end to the other.
NYC Skyline
Got delayed for 2 hours because of a burning bus
Nature just as rewarding as NYC itself

Wow, NY looks so busy...guess that is why that guy walked in front of your camera eh
You got some really great shots from different angles in the museum, and they turned out great.
Have to day though, that some of the art work is comparable to my munchkins
Look forward to seeing the rest of your pics Boo.
PS
You didn't have to edit the picture with you in it though...
