Hey Hallie - the Kinder Surprise is not a sample - it's a product test for "Asking Canadians" - that place that rewards you with HBC Points (they sent me an email a week ago or so, and I qualified to be a tester). Don't know how much chocolate they send, but I'll let you know on Monday.
Just got an email from them asking me to respond about their chocolates by Monday, but I can't pick up the package until Monday. Some courier service that Purolator is!!!
UPS just knocked on my door a second ago and brought me a bag of Bits & Bites (new formulation) to test for TNS Canadian facts (have been signed with them for years and don't even remember how). They'll phone me next week for my answers about how I think it compares to the Bits & Bites I usually buy.
What a strange day! I am used to an avalanche of disasters on Friday the 13th, but today brought 1) free T-shirt 2) free Bits & Bites 3) winning Simpsons DVD set for Pippi 4) mystery box from Purolator which I am guessing is the Kinder Surprise Chocolates.
Miracles never cease! Who knows? Maybe the writing I do today will be brilliant! (I can only hope)
xo Rita

Yeah it's the test product. Mine came by Purolator also. It was a big surprise cause it was just left on the door step. There are 3 possible test products in total apparently but I just got the 21g one. But Kinder products generally aren't that big anyways. I'm confused about something though. I have never signed up for the site Asking Canadians so how did I get this? I thought maybe I just forgot having an account but they said my email address wasn't in their system. Truly odd indeed.

I didn't get it from asking canadians either I think it was greenfield online or surveyspot but I was redirected to a partners site to complete the survey so it must have been asking canadians site

Mine came directly from Asking Canadians, which i signed up for through this site, and that rewards you only with HBC Reward Points. The follow-up survey they e-mailed said "we sent you some chocolates" (in the plural, hence my excitement), so i'll be pretty underwhelmed if i drag my sorry @$$ to the Purolator depot on Monday for one stupid 21 g bar (like the delivery couldn't have left that at my apartment door? oh puleeze...
p.s. how big is the icepack? looking on the bright side, i can always think of it as a free icepack - no doubt, a higher monetary value than the enclosed perishable product!!!
p.p.s ewww - i just opened the Bits & Bites and they're nasty! Even way too saltier than usual. Oh well, guess this is my chance to tell them to hold off on the salt - tastes bad, and is probably killing off half of their customer base from the high blood pressure!!Last edited by rita heyworth; Fri, Jul 13th, 2007 at 02:36 PM. It's not very big. Approx 5.5" x 5.5".
I haven't received the 2nd email yet. Maybe it takes longer cause it sounds like I did it through another site. It's definately from Asking Canadians though it says so on the letter inside. No HBC reward points for me I guess cause I am not a member of their site
