Hmmmmm, i'm a lil confused.................4545 points is less than $5, and the 5000 for registering is $5 so that means altogether i got under $10 in Optimum pts for spending minimum $30 but i'm pretty sure during the last event i received about $20 or so back on my card for spending less than $30.

No, 4545 points is worth a little more than $9 and 5000 points is worth $10 at the highest redemption level of $150 for 75,000 points.

You're the same status as me---in latercomer group, not get 4545 points yet. But don't worry. If you click the links on Cyanne's signature, you'll find only three latercomers waiting to be put in a group as a replacement.

The reward last time in terms of points is exactly the same as it was this time. The only difference is that this time you had to spend $30 and last time it was only $20. We calculate the value of the points as:

Q. How much are 9,545 points worth? Should I bother with these groups?

A. If you wait to redeem at the highest level, 9,545 points are worth $19.09. Don't forget that you'll earn your normal Optimum points on a purchase (300 points for a $30 purchase). That's worth $19.79, pretty good for spending $30 + any taxes!!!! Plus, buy a 35$ gift card first, to use to pay for your purchase, and earn an extra 350 points.

We're assuming here that as the savvy shoppers you all are, you'll wait until you have 75,000 points to redeem at the highest level

There! Groups 20 and 21 have JUST been resolved! This was slightly less perfect than I had hoped. Still, not a bad result! 4545 group points for EVERYONE who shopped! Everyone wins, nobody dies . Give the group leaders a bit of time to finish distributing points. I'm glad to put this event behind me BEFORE the next one. LOL
