Thread: Wii Console / Fit / Controller

Hi all, I am planning to purchase a Wii console / Fit / 3 controllers.
I am wondering if I should get all those items from SDM this Saturday for 20X points or buy them else where if the price is a lot cheaper. As for the controller, it costs $44.99 for each. That is a big rid off. Does anyone know where I could get a better price for the controller?
Thanks.

The Wii console is pretty much the same price everywhere. If it were me, I'd buy the Wii console at shoppers get 20x the points. Then since they show up right away on your account - On another transaction buy the other accessories with the points you earned on the console. You should be able to get the other items for next to nothing....

Hmmm I don't know. the console plus 3 controllers plus the fit will cost you just over $500 by my calculations...and with 20X the points you will get about 100,000 points...leaving you with enough for the $150 in store redemption or more on bomus redemption days. I guess it is up to you but that is like getting your 3 controllers for free....
oh and the wii play does include one controller....so you get a free game with it.

I bought a wii fit at SDM last weekend for $99 and got 15,000 bonus points (worth at least $25). I thought it was a good deal. This Saturday, a $99 purchase will net 990x20, or 19800 bonus points (worth $30+). (Is this correct, Optimum scholars?) I doubt you'll find a better deal.

There is a $10 off Wii Fit coupon on specially marked packages of Special K Satisfaction, if you can find the cereal cheap it may be worth buying! I got one a while ago but decided against getting the Wii Fit - I am too lazy! I also agree that you won't find anywhere with much cheaper prices on the Wii stuff - it seems pretty standardized. So if you can get all those bonus points and use them right away for accessories, great deal!

You could try looking online (kijiji, ebay etc.) for the controller. I think somewhere there is a deal on for controller and nunchuck, but I can't remember where I saw it, if I come across it again, I'll let you know!

I've done the math, and buying the Wii at SDM is the best deal by far when they have 20x points. Enjoy.

Thanks everyone of you for sharing the comments, suggestions and even done some caculations to verify which method is the best deal. The costco one seems to be a very good deal. But, then SDM might be even better deal with 20X point ($379 x 20X points = 750,000 + approx) which is $150.00. As suggested, I could use the points to get another controllers or something.
I am wondering if this could work even better.
Currently, I have $75.00 worth of points in SDM. Can I use it to purchase a SDM gift card (to get regular points). Then use that $75.00 gift card to buy Wii Console, etc... This way, you will get 20x points on that $75.00 gift card also. Is that true with this method?

You can't get 20x points with gift card purchase unfortunately and if i'm correct, correct me if i'm wrong, you can't get points either for items you pay for with SDM points
