Some people on here (believe it or not) are single parents working 60hrs a wk to make ends meet and are dealing with the difficulties life throws at them. Not everyone has the time to sit on here and chat and update trade lists and wishlists on a daily basis AND have the leisure time to play games.
Yes ladies and gents, there is a life OFF Smart Canucks.
A little tolerance and understanding goes a LONG way.
Think of how that person might feel if she reads your post and has no idea that she pissed you off enough to rant about it on public forum. DId you bother to ASK her why she still listed in spite of the fact she didn't want what you offered? Perhaps it was a polite way of declining a trade that she wasn't comfortable with. Or maybe... MAYBE she's in a situation such as I was a few weeks ago and couldn't afford the one darn stamp to actual MAKE the trade but that's too humiliating to admit so she just declined.
I'm sure if I gave it a second thought I could come up with 100 reasons why people do the things they do. I can do that quickly because I'm used to putting muself in other people's shoes and giving them the benefit of the doubt. I'm well aware I'm just a simple little human and don't have gravitational bodies circling me.
Life happens to people... wouldn't you prefer someone try to be understanding rather than judge you and vent in a public forum?
Just saying... it's something to think about.
I've been readin a lot of "rants" in these threads lately and I recognize the people some are talking about even if no names are mentioned. Personally, and this is just an opinion, I don't feel it's very nice and I doubt the basic investigative work to find out WHY in a kind manner was put forth prior to said rants.
