Okay, but even if they read the PM another way, why would they just ignore the PMs and messages for so long? If I had not received a trade and the trader PM'd me about it, I would definitely let them know I hadn't received it, I wouldn't just ignore them for weeks and weeks until they became so darn irritating I had to reply to make them stop bugging me :) I can see one message slipping through the cracks (which is why I tried a few ways) but it just doesn't seem right to ignore someone who is just trying to find out about their end of the trade.

Honestly, I would have much preferred to get a PM a month ago demanding a replacement than to hear back now they never received it - at least I wouldn't have been wondering all this time!

It's not a big issue - I am just curious why anyone would take weeks to let me know the trade was never received, especially when I was obviously concerned about it. I was just wondering if anyone had any similar experiences (on either side of the trade).

well actually I have....I was waiting for a trade to be recieved (shock I wrote it down):P and after 5+ messages I still don't know if it was ever recieved:shrug:

I hope you get a reply from that trader soon :) Like you thought, in this case trader is saying I don't need to replace it but of course I will - it's only fair, since I received their end, after all! What kind of trader doesn't replaced a lost trade?! That's just not right.

Feb 15: Started discussing trade
Feb 16: Agree on trade- I sent SDM points to her account
Feb 28: She says that baby has been sick but will send tomorrow.
March 7: Baby in hospital/hubby has flu
March 8: PM's me 7 codes - 4 work, 3 don't (I let them know)
March 11: "Already in the mail."
March 14: Hubby has sprained arm but will send tomorrow with extra PIN's and coupons.
March 20: Sent today with extra stamps for apologies.
April 8: Bottle caps received, 26 in total-3 already used. No stamps, no extras, no coupons included.

With the 26 received and the 7 earlier that makes 33. Already have 6 that don't work.

This person is a well respected trader though at least one other person has had difficulty with them just recently. They seem like a nice person but I am really starting to get ticked off. I feel bad for whining when some of you have lost FPC's and whatnot but.....What to do? This person was also on the forum regularly during this whole time.

So they were "already in the mail" March 11, but then they weren't mailed until the 20th? Interesting.

I understand that there are far more important things in life than trading, but if all of this is true then it sounds like this person should have just said "Sorry, too busy to trade now, I'm sending back your SDM points". That would have taken just a few minutes, and if they had the points that probably would have been the easiest thing to do.

To me, I think the easiest way to resolve would be to have her send back a portion of the points corresponding to the number of incorrect or used PINs plus the missing one (7/34 = approx 21%). Even if she mails more bottle caps or PMs the PINs, there is the risk of them being used too. If she has the SDM points, I think that would be the simplest and quickest way to resolve this. But I rarely trade SDM points and I've never traded iCoke PINs, so maybe someone else could give you more relevant advice.

I hope you are able to work something out.

It should be noted that sometimes a brandnew ICoke pin is used because the # is so similar to another that the info is wrongly inputted by an ICoke member and is award those points incorrectly. I have bought brand new pop and at least 3 x's the code was already used.

Thumpermom, I'm sorry to hear that. A pin trade should be a quick an easy trade, I'm not sure why they would be regularly mailed. Over private message, incorrect pins can be addressed right away.

Whenever I have traded PINs I have just typed them out in a list and sent them, there is no need for them being mailed at all

When I first started trading the pins, I had thought of mailing them since I'm so bad at retransbing them. When I was putting them in the box, I had a a-ha moment...why would I pay shipping on something that can be emailed...really cutting into the trading bottom line.

My question is, is why did she mail them? I have traded stouffers pins and pampers points and I just PM the numbers. It makes no sense to send them in the mail.

I think maybe just ask for some of your SDM points back and end the trade would probably be easiest....thats if the SDM points haven't been spent already

Just wondering what to do about this. I did a trade on March 6th. didn't hear nothing and didn't receive nothing. On march 18 I PMed this person. she says she never received my end. It's now april 10th and I haven't received anything nor heard anything from this person.

so do I just chalk this up and let it go??
