I agree with you!!!!! And I'm sure it was missesta that posted the messages that were from her "boyfriend"...something just didn't seem right! Soooo many people are sol due to her trades and her trains!! :lightning:
What a mess... :frown:
With all the conversation this thread is getting difficult to follow to see who problems are with :(
I tend to agree with you here...., at least Star_Lover definitely taught us not to give a second chance to anyone with a huge number of outstanding trades. While she pretended to send replacements (she actually even honored some missing trades...), she made two more accounts, and was scamming people again. I feel really sorry for Sally who believed her, and even more helped her to resolve her situation...but she was just lying!
I'll go forward and use my name if anybody wants to get Sulley. Hubby carries a badge, by the way. Can't help us out with this matter, but the badge always seems to help in the long run!
Maybe his other badge mates in Sulley's city should pay him/her a visit ..he he he :lolsign: ..would love to see :hahaha:Sulley's face when that happens :P
Maybe the badge mates should even deliver him/her some of the coupon envies ( trades ) instead of the regular CP mailman
I was actually very disappointed hearing Star_lover did that. I sent her massive amounts of envies and when I send bundles, all I ever ask for is the stamps to mail it and she owed me 5 in total and made good on that. I'm always fair and generous when I trade. But using a "family matter" as an excuse isn't very fair. When my husband does chemotherapy, I do not make an excuses as to why I can't do something. I finish what needs to be done. Also, even though I haven't been on here as long as some users, I have other user's phone numbers, e-mail addresses and they're on my facebook, and I'm sure most people on here when you talk to someone enough are in the same situation. So if some EXTREME incident occurred, there's always a way to get a hold of someone and say "Hey, this is whats going on". In this day and age with the type of technology that is available to anyone anywhere I only see one reason for someone completely disappearing. Even if I go on vacation, I let a few people on here know when I'm leaving and when I'll be back, that way if anything does happen, someone can say "Hey, she's in Cuba, I'm pretty sure she'll be back in 2 or 3 days"
This thread honestly scares me off of trading.
It's so sad when a few traders mess it up for others. I used to trade with new traders without asking them to send their part first . . . and I still do much of the time. However, I'm being much more careful now.
When Justdoit2008 PM'd me about some HV coupons, I did ask her to send her part first. I just had an uncomfortable feeling about this trade. She said she had no problem with sending her part first . . . which, of course, she didn't follow through on . . . and that was the last time I heard from her. I see that she is now banned.
Thanks, Sally888, for the work you do to keep us up to date on scammers. It can't be an easy or a fun job but I'm really grateful for what you do to help the SC trading community! :-)
WOW!!! I am still waiting on the train I Pm'd you about before. Some people seemed to get a few things but most of us have not yet. If you need her addy let me know I still have it.
Missesta's roomate hmmmm.... Would be so much easier if we could just see people or talk to them. Would make it easier to figure out if they are really who they say they are!!!!
Thanks for looking into this!!
A new trader sweetnlow30 approached me for a larger trade.
She had very little on my wish list and asked if I traded for gift cards.
I explained I don’t usually trade for gift cards and why I did not think they were a good trade for me.
I said it depending on how much she was prepared to offer and what coupons she wanted I would consider it.
She than gave me a list of coupons and I confirmed the trade with her multiple times and then finally said I would start checking to make sure I had all the ones on her list.
I than spent an hour pulling the coupons and sent her a PM saying I had all the coupons she wanted.
In the morning I got a reply saying that her husband said that she should not make the trade for a gift card.
For some reason I did not think it is necessary to ask traders if they have their husband’s permission to trade before confirming a trade.
I posted on her wall so other traders would know she backed out of a trade she initiated and confirmed and she reported it and had it removed.
I spoke to Sally and she suggested I post here to let other traders know.
Not only do I think it is poor practice to back out of a trade but when you are asking someone for a huge list of coupons it is common curtsey not to waste thier time.
When I expressed my disappointment one of her comments was:
I didnt think it was that serious of an issue
