those confusing coupon and stamp trades?
Trades are further complicated by other factors such as:
Several people pm'ing a trader for coupons at the same time, but as we all know here, some people may or may not be serious inquirers, and the trader with the coupons has to wade through multiple messages and offers before a serious trade is negotiated.
If you're learning how to trade, you will encounter that sometimes. And there are also serious traders that suddenly leave you dangling because something comes up, and they don't get back to you for weeks, so the trade is up in the air, and you've got to decide what to do with the coupons when somebody else wants to trade for them.
Add to that, when you have to update your tradelist with coupons added and deleted as necessary, or in the event you can't find one that's misplaced somewhere. So, trading is not for the faint of heart. It requires persistence and patience for all concerned, but in the end it's worth it all, I think.
After reading some of the above posts, I am reconsidering whether or not to continue to accept stamps in return for coupons, including High-Value and Bundles. I'd hate to come under condemnation or disapproval by other members if they thought I expected too many stamps (as per my Tradelist notes). So maybe it's best just to trade $ for $, HV for HV, instead of dealing with stamps at all. It would sure make things easier for me; and I'd be much better off getting equal value in a coupon trade.
Well, something to think about for 2011.
