So after the LD thread about changing their policy and my sis in law having a bad expeirence in a Victoria location I was super worried that they wonderous LD policy would change! But I had been having really great expeiriences with the same cashier time after time. So I thought I should send a letter in comending this girl on how awesome she is. I called the LD and asked for the managers name and I faxed over the letter. After a few days this is the response I got:

Hi Tess, thank you so much for your fax praising Kirby for her service. I will be sure to make sure she is recognized for it when I see her next. I was out of the store last week but I will see her in the next day or two.

I know sometimes it can be difficult to get cashiers to fully comprehend coupon stacking and how London Drugs does accept multiple (but different) coupons for the same product as long as it does not exceed the price of the product. We try to encourage our customers to get the best deal possible so stack away! If you encounter any difficulties in this regard please feel free to contact me directly.

I'm a bit of a quote person and I had one that a hard working "stacker" might appreciate - "Success is the the sum of small efforts repeated day in and day out" - Robert Collier.

Thanks again for taking the time to write. A pat on the back like this really makes people feel good.

I thought that this was a great response and he seems like a really awesome manager. Anyways I am happy that I have official confirmation from my local LD that they policy is still going strong!

Sounds like an awesome guy. Ita always nice to hear about retail Managers who do a great job. And good on you for praising the cashier! They're often overlooked for their hard work, so I bet youve made her day!

Wow, that is fantastic! What a great store manager, if only other retail stores could have such a great attitude. Maybe you should send a letter to their head office so the store can receive kudos from the higher ups! I bet they would appreciate that!

Good on you for complimenting the employee, one good turn deserves another, if this was at Tillicum is Kirby the girl who is usually at CS with the long dark hair? I often go through her till and she has always been friendly and helpful, it's good to know other's have had good experiences at this store.

She does have longer hair it's darker but I think it's kind of auburn. I would say redish but I've just been rereading Anne of Green Gables and keep reading how that is a big no no!

Great idea babycakes. I think I just might send the whole thing to head office.

I have really come to appreciate those cashiers that don't give you the snide remarks as you use coupons.

That's fantastic. Good for you for saying something nice. Most people forget to give positive feedback when it's deserved.

I think that is excellent that you took out the time to write to the London Drugs manager about the great CS that you received. I am sure that they often only hear the bad comments and not everyone always takes out the time to tell about the good service we receive.
