Thread: Save on More points brag

I am in the process of cashing in points that I have been collecting for 15 years. I've already cashed in a bumper crop of freebies with Air Miles and HBC, now its time to work on my Save On More points.
I've decided to use my points exclusively at Price smart foods for milk and butter, which is always free with SOM points. Here are my calculations:
My family uses 1 gallon of milk a week at approx $4.25 a gallon = $17.00/Month
We also use about a pound of butter a week at approx $4.50 a pound= $18.00/Month
Total $35.00/Month
I have 80 thousand SOM points.
Price Smart charges 2500 points each for a gallon of milk and pound of butter.
Based on my consumption, I would use 20 thousand points a month, which would end up giving me free milk and butter for 4 whole months and would total 16 gallons of free & milk 16 pounds of butter valued at $140.00.This thread is currently associated with: PriceSmart

Before we moved from BC, we had been collecting for about 1 year (on and off), and were able to cash in for 200$ GC from westjet for hubby to come home and see our son for the first time (he's in the military, and wasn't able to attend the birth). It cost us 80,000 points.

Beautiful!!!!!!!!!
I plan to spend on it... "a treat" or two... I wanted to get my daughter a Little Tykes trike thingie (was 18 000 points), but they got back to me saying it's no longer available. UGH! And nothing I want in this new points flyer... so I'll just keep saving, lol! Maybe spend points here and there to get free items (like hummus the other day--free w/500 points!)

Great job on making the most of your points
I love it!!!
We cashed in a bunch of our points a couple Christmas's ago for some Olympic ball caps for stocking stuffers and I tend to use them on grocery's and things through the year if it's a good deal but other then that I just collect, been collecting them since the card first came out - LOL - 16 or 17 years a go
