Not sure what forum I should put this in, and I know it doesn't quite fit here, but I thought this interesting article on avoiding being overcharged on your credit card statement was interesting.
It is from the Globe and Mail and highlights needless credit card insurance that some of us don't even know we are paying:

I have to say that even though the credit card insurance put my bill over limits some months, boy am I glad I had it. I was laid of in march and only 3 of my 5 cards are covered ( ihave no idea why I cancelled the others)...Thank goodness...I never thought that I would get laid off especially after working for a place for almost 5 years.
