WOW A Zellers That Has Their Act Together! July 7

Well after fighting with the Zellers in Montreal North last night I was not about to waste my time there getting the Downy so I headed to beautiful St. Leonard and had the nicest cashier. Mafia Momma needed much convincing before she actually believed that YES it is Buy 1 Get 2 FREE. So we hesitantly bought 6 Downy each and headed to the cash. They did have the sign posted but not for the Dawn. The prices went through at $7.99 each but the cashier said wait just watch at the end and sure enough after every 3 it took off 2. Whew relief and disbelief still. LOL So we packed the car with the first load and went back for more. Ended up with 12 Downy each and 9 Dawn which also scanned correctly. I am still miffed at the other Zellers I may take my bills over there and show them.

12 Downy $7.99 ea - B1G2 = $108.22 - 2 x$1 off Smart Source coupons
9 Dawn $2.59 ea - B1G2 = 26.31 (Mafia Momma took 5)
2 Venus reg. $8 (saw them at Walmart for that price??? WTH) sp. $2.09 - $2 Venus coupon

Total before special = $152.59
Total OOP = $55.28 Lots of tax in there!

P.S. The cashier was so nice and she was really happy with our savings almost like she was actually proud to have helped us. What a difference a day makes.

Sounds like we both had a good Zeller's day. I went to take advantage of the Mr. Clean deal and the girl was great. She scanned everything and then did the coupons at the end. No fuss, no muss! It's a miracle! Great deals, I wish they had the B1G2 in the west!

You know this is very reminiscent of the types of Promos they have in the states. Maybe the U.S. parent company is now implementing some trial promos and if this proves to be a success maybe we will be lucky and see more of it. But for crying out loud will they tell ALL the stores how to do it!!!

12.5% but you pay the 5% GST first then they charge you 7.5 on the GST and the total so they take your arm, leg and bite out of your butt too. Almost $15 in tax in there. Tax on the freebie too don't forget.

WOW, awesome deal, I'm going to drag the kidlets out tomorrow for some much needed run-around-zellers-almost-knocking-into-every-table time where everyone knows us and loves the kids regardless, there was a huge-ash francais sign by the downy the other day, didn't have the time nor patience to transform into anglo-isms but I MUST check it out for sure!

Babycakes - the B1G2 deals are in the west - I am in the Vancouver area and I got the Downy and Dawn deals yesterday - I found the Wet Jet too but they only had one bottle. I haven't figured out which Downy sheets are the B1G2 yet as the ones I found scanned at regular price. Just scan the items at a price checker and should come up with B1G2 deal on the screen. Also the Downy Tahitian waterfall liquid fabric softener is scanning at $2.39!
