    my brother called me last night (a rare thing) and after a nice long chat, he asked me if I would be part of his wedding party this summer as a grooms 'lady'! I of course said YES!! i'm pretty excited! he said i'll probably just wear the same thing as the brides maids (which i assume are her 3 sisters) but stand up on my brother's side.

    aaaaaaaawe!! that's SO sweet!!

    Wedding parties are all mixed up these days, I've been to a few weddings like that recently so it's becoming more common

    i was really excited when he asked me!! (he asked my other brother too) because i was actually a little bummed about not being in the bridal party because she has so many sisters. so i just booked the friday off work so i'm free for rehersal stuff... now on to attempting to find a hotel room for C and i for 2 nights! :S

    but seriously! we're having a hell of a time with rooms! The wedding is July 3rd. I need an AFFORDABLE room for July 2nd and 3rd...... that particular weekend just so happens to be the same as Pride Week, some Shriners thing, AND a U2 concert!! My brother tried to get hotels to reserve a block of rooms for the wedding but non would do it!

    It's downtown Toronto. The ceremony is at this tiny church on the U of T campus, and the reception is at the Steamwhistle Brewery!

    This is the first wedding of our family, so we're all super excited!! My bro and his gf (who are now 29) have also been together since GRADE 11!!!!!! so it's a LONG time coming!
