Total w/tax = $8.06
Zellers

Glade Air Infisions (clearance priced $2.19, scanned at $1.59), minus $1.50 = $0.09
SPC Discount (10%) = $2.16

Now for my question... for the first time I had a problem using my VIP SPC. Cashier at Zellers wanted to check on SPC with the customer service peeps after I told her, nicely and friendly, that it's a "VIP SPC, so I don't need ID." Which was fine with me--used it MANY times at Zellers and several other places. I added on, and perhaps I should'nt have, even tho it's written on the card, that I got it thru "Lou Lou Magazine." She comes back telling me I need ID... pointed to the card where it says "valid ID not required." Then she proceeded to tell me it's for LULU Lemon with the "no ID required." So I told her there is no affiliation and LULU Lemon is spelt L U L U not L O U!!! I wasn't winning this battle once she said her last line... "you need to be an actual student to be able to use the card." I'm not... I didn't come out and say that, but she probably knew cuz I said I didn't have my ID.
I then told her to "forget it then..." She took my bag, lol... but I went and got the same items (bras and glade item) and went to another set of tills... and had NO problem, as usual!
Question is... do you REALLY have to be a student to use this VIP Card? I got mine with the Lou Lou mag subscription, but ANYONE could get that... are you suppose to toss the card in the garbage if you're not a student?!This thread is currently associated with: Lou Lou Magazine, Lululemon Athletica, Pharmaprix, Sears, Shoppers Drug Mart, SPC Student Price Card, Zellers

That is crap! No ID required means no ID required! I just signed up for the Lou Lou subscription just so I can get this card so I'm waiting for it. I hope it comes with some sort of contract or paperwork I can carry around as backup if this is the type of thing that might happen. If you didn't have to give any student information to be able to receive the card then you do not need to be a student. That's my opinion.

i guess the one with loulou magazine if they send it to everyone should be valid to anyone. However, the regular SPC card we get from the site or sdm or any other place that have the SDM card is actually for students (Students Price Card) although its very easy to obtain if youre not.. and come to think about it ... i was at zellers and didnt use it
i forgot

I've had a few cashiers question it and ask for ID (I've only used it in Zellers so far) but showing them the bottom corner of the card where it says no student ID is required puts an end to that. The people that have questioned it have had such a smug look on their face! I think the LouLou subscription is the only place that the VIP card is available so it is their perk for readers. A few years ago RBC had bank cards with SPC on them too. Not sure if that still exists.
Glad you were still able to get the deal when you went to someone else!

Thanks everyone. The cashier that gave me the troubles is the same one that got all frazzeled and frustrated when I FIRST started using coupons there. She had to read them over, make sure I could use them (which is a good thing), BUT that attitude was not needed. So I try to avoid her, lol. Now I will definetly avoid her!!
Geepers. What bugs me most is she shot me down cuz she thought LOU LOU was LULU... uh, every part of me wanted to say "You are SO DUMB!!!" But, I held my pose and was nice!
Having a young child can bring out the child within me, tee hehe!
