On Monday she was bugging me to take off her training wheels, so I told her when her dad came home from fishing to ask him. Well he tried to get her to wait till this week and finally gave in. In a matter of 5 minutes she was riding with no help and was not falling. By this morning she is flying down the street and can turn and stop when needed.
I am a little sad that my baby is growing up, but all good this must come to an end. This thread is currently associated with: N/A

Thank you both of you. It does bring a tear to your eye when they do something new.

I remember when My daughter figured it out My husband cried Funny, she HATED her bike when it had training wheels. Refused to go on it, said it was "slow". So, we took them off, and within 10 minutes, she had it down. (We pushed her down a grassy hill, til she got used to balancing She was almost 4 when she learned. (She's almost 6 now)
It's great, because now we go on long rides together, and I don't have to stick her in the kiddy seat on my bike!
Our next stop is to get her a MUCH lighter bike. An aluminum Norco, or something.. her current bike weighs more than MINE! She can't even pick it up! But, we have to wait until she hits the 16 inch bike mark.... ack.
Congrats to your kiddo!
