That is fantastic! (I must admit, I am also glad to hear someone else struggles with making rice - I can't do it for the life of me ... but I have always wondered what a rice cooker would be like) ...
... I'm earning $5-25 Amazon.ca gift cards EVERY month, are you?
P.S. ... starting to hunt for ShoppingChannel GC's with no minimum purchase ...

This is so random. But I want to tell you all how I make perfect Basmati (the only kind I have ever made, so I don't know if it would work with other rice) every time!
Boil a huge pot of water, don't even measure it.
When the water has come to a boil, drop in as much rice as you want. Usually 3/4 of a normal sized mug is enough for two people.
Keep the water to a boil and either cover, or don't.. sometimes I do, sometimes I don't.
Stir it once or twice so it doesn't end up sticking ot the bottom.
Boil for ELEVEN (11) minutes only!! This is key!!
Once 11 mins is up, strain the rice (we have the lids that have the holes on top so it's easy).
Let stand for a min or so, and serve.
Perfect rice, every time. Seriously.
