Wonderful Monday at SDM.
I wet on Sunday at SDM to look out for store coupons, clearance and other stuff. I noticed Febreze Noticables on clearance at $5, Glade Scented Candles on clearance at $4, Ziploc Steam on clearance at $2 and Venus Embrace single cartridge on clearance at $6.
Save.ca and printable coupons were all I needed!
My purchases:
X9 Ziploc Steam Clearance $2/each - $2 coupon printable = FREE
X6 Glade Scented Cangles - Clearance $4 each - $4 coupon printable = FREE
X4 Febreze noticables starter kit - clearance $5 each - $3 coupon save.ca = $2 each (only had 4 coupons)
X3 Vebreze Embrace single cartridge - clearance $6 each - $4 coupon save.ca = $2 each (enough to reach more than $75 before tax)

Total before taxes and before coupons: $80.00
Total after taxes (before coupons): $90.30
Total SDM points= 800 base + 15,000 for $75+ (from Aug 3 to 7) = 15,800 ($25 value on regular events, $40 on bonus redemption for 75000/$200 off)
Total coupons = $66.00
Total OOP = $24.30 (included $10.30 in taxes)
Pretty proud of my purchase today... it's like I got all this stuff free considering SDM points (or that I get all the stuff I will buy with the points free).

Hey I had a J&J coupons FPC and when I purchased my listerine teeth whitening, my SDM points came up to "0" because she said: "Technically, you didn't spend any money"...
How did you manage to get your points and still get your "free" stuff?

I managed it because there is a different way to enter coupons depending if it's a FPC or a $X off coupon.
FPC: 2002 code in the cash register at SDM (don't quote me on that code), that allows not to pay any tax (tax included), but does not count for SDM points.
$X off: 2001 code in the cash register at SDM, has to pay taxes on the product, but count for SDM points.
My $X off makes it free... but because it's not a FPC that includes taxes paid, it is entered at 2001 so I kept my points.
FPCs are good for the wallet, but are bad for points!!!

Very nice!!
I just shopped on Friday....I should have waited till the bonus points but I had coupons about to expire. Maybe I should make use of the formula coupons I have.
Do you really get bonus points after coupons? Hmm if so I could buy 3 cans of formula and use my $10 off each and still get the bonus points only spending approx $45. Sweet!Don't forget to click the green up arrow if you like someones post!

Bonus points are calculated before coupons for this kind of promo. Only FPC coupons will make your sub-total go down.
I had some coupons expiring on Aug 4, so I was happy that it was starting Aug 3.
Thanks for your comments, I am happy to tell ideas like this, don't spend too much okay
Seriously, clearance / liquidation prices are YMMV. Some stores have Febreze Noticables for less than $5, others are more than $5.... it depends!

I didn't know they had clearance before Friday. I found 3x pre-made formula 8 packs for $3.99 reg $18.99. Perfect for outing days. Would newer SDM's have clearance too?
