From June 26 to August 27, 2009, ParticipACTION Sun Life - Inspire the nation will sweep through 31 communities across Canada, igniting opportunity and passion for physical activity.

At each tour stop, which will come alive with thought-provoking and inspiring "get active" messages, Canadians will be inspired to get active and invited to visit the "Inspiration Booth" to receive a free pedometer, interact with tour staff and record a video about how they’ve added more movement into their lives.

Thanks for copying my posting, Shawnsgal, much appreciated Almost forgot to post it on here as well!

This pedometer is actually the same Participaction pedometer previously given out by the Canadian Space Agency. It's pretty accurate compared to many other pedometers out there, only counts the steps, not all the other useless junk that cannot possibly be accurately determined from the step count anyway (calories, distance, etc.) and on top of it, the display is at the top of the device, making it easy to read off the step count while the pedometer is still attached to your belt.

In addition to the pedometer you also get a nice pocket-sized recording sheet to write down your step counts for a few weeks.
