I am sooooo becoming aware of the prices and the fact that "I can get that cheaper at another store", "I have a coupon for that" and "I can't wait for that to go on sale". I couldn't wait to go shopping this morning, I had to stop at Canadian Tire for some garden lights Sale $3.75 from $15.99 (bought 12 for my hubby).
Wallmart

More glade candles on sale (more than at SD but a different scent) for $5.00 X 3 - $4 X 3 coupon = $3
Crush 2L X 4 X $1.11 - 2 BOGO coupon= $2.22
2 X different Quattro Shavers with sunscreen bonus sale $6.00 X 2 - $3 X 2 coupons = $6
Mens Schick razor sale $6.88 - $3 coupon = $3.88
Crest Spin Brush with Arm & Hammer Bonus (was $16.88) sale $7.88 - $3.00 coupon= $4.88
SDM:

Well done!! I have yet to use a price match but I know the "I have a coupon for that" etc. feeling...this really is addictive, LOL.
Reminds me of the revelation I had several years ago about how much my daily coffees were costing me - I had this flash of "OMG, it's *not* $1.50 a cup...it's $1.50 a cup of my NET INCOME...so it costs me THIRTY PERCENT MORE!! I have to earn $1.95 for this damned cup of coffee, and I can make it at home for about $0.30!!".
All very obvious when you sit down and think about it, but my forehead hurt for about ten minutes from the massive slap I gave myself when I realized what I was doing to my finances.

My BF thinks I'm nuts to use all these coupons. I think he secretly feels like only people who don't have enough money use them, and that if I can "afford" not to, I shouldn't...he hasn't come to the realization that I'm saving at least $100 in after-tax dollars every month or so - and that's not much by most SCers' standards!
Joke's on him...I'm putting my coupon savings into a rainy-day fund (just in case, who has job security nowadays?) and an RESP for my new niece.
Keep up the good work!!
