Attachment 206756I took this pic earlier this afternoon
^^ the only good abou thing Canada in the winter:
ice water straight out of the taps,
and instant ice cubes out the back door.
When I woke up this morning it was -16 and snowing and STILL snowing.
At my cottage it was -22 this morning.
It was a snowy, slushy hell ride to the gta and back to the kawartha lakes today. My parents had the bright idea to go out instead of staying home and keep a roaring fire going.......... naturally I tagged along, lol. Very bad driving. Lots of spin outs and crashes. 2 hours ago my dad was fighting to put on new wipers on in the dark and blowing snow. We yelled that there wasn't a part missing.. he yelled at us..gave up and came back in and we left Keswick.. But he got mad because the light was red for over 5 minutes so he switched lanes and took off down a different road. We just past Ravenshoe when this beast of a pickup chose to pass with traffic coming, not close but still..too close for this weather. Then a white pickup infront of us past behind him and next thing I knew we were all yelling 'oh s***' The white truck spunout into our lane and back across into on coming traffic and into the ditch. JUST missed the hydro pole and flipped onto the roof. omigod, my mom was out first with me on her heels. The couple the truck was passing turned around and called 911 too and by chance a firefighter was a minute behind us so he stopped. Silly me I tried my hardest to yank his door open. God he had heavy metal blaring as we yelled for him to talk to us. Poor guy had to climb out the broken backseat window. His airbag didn't open :/ The firefighter and cops told the gentlemen not to thank them but us, lol. I made sure t ask him how he was and told him that I was glad he was alright and went back to the van to wait for the cops. Ahhh my hands are shaking now trying to write this. There's my good deed for the day.
