What about the mod situation? I remember there was a thread at some point (sorry don't recall when) about how the contest section is full of expired contests, and someone mentioned that a mod should expire or delete some of the threads cause it was seriously cluttered, and one of the mods said that the mod that handles that stuff is busy. But there are like 6 mods listed in that section so... why couldn't someone else do it? I don't know which mod handles what, and I don't think most people know.
If something is reported, does everyone receive it? or does anyone that is "available" handle it? maybe it would help to have more mods, or to have all mods able to do all tasks?
I was a mod on another forum and we all handled everything, of course the admin had abilities that the regular mods did not have, like editing html but for the most part, all mods could do basic stuff like deleting and moving threads, banning people etc.

i for one don't like it when people have huge pics as their siggy, or youtube vids
is there someway that maybe a new rule about sizes for the pics (something like 320x240?) and that maybe the youtube/ video links could be left to posts instead of siggys?
and any other issue i might have had i believe u have already addressed, thanks for such a great site

I Love SC, Thanks Boo
One thing I would like to see is a "thanks button" and a "hugs button" I have seen these located in the bottom right hand corner of posts, by the "Send PM" button, of other sites I visit. These buttons are nice for people to thanks others for helpful posts without posting a post (lol). The hugs button is nice when members want to lend support to OP's but maybe do not have a lot to add to a thread in a post or are just not frequent posters (like me ).

I did the CTV thing, putting my name, face, and part of my house in public view.
Boo, I think it's only fair that you show yourself.

Boo, this is an AMAZING site! I just joined in November, and I feel so fortunate to have found SC!! I have learned so much!!
So - no complaints here, aside from the fact that I wish I had become part of this community much earlier!! I missed a lot of great deals!

I used to check SC on my blackberry, but I don't EVER do it anymore because of people having images in there signatures. Actually, they usually prevent me from reading through most threads. I think pictures/images are better left to peoples profiles, all they are doing is slowing down page load times. And honestly, maybe this will sound a little catty, but most people probably don't want to see a picture of your cat, or 5th cousin twice removed... nor do we want to see huge cheesy cartoons.
I say, keep signatures to text (or maybe a smily or two.

I have a question about 'subscribed threads'. If I click this link it shows me over 300 threads. I'm guessing we automatically 'subscribe' to a thread by commenting in it? Is there any way that you can just self choose the threads you want to be subscribed to? I'd just like a handful of ones to show up in my list... but don't want to go through all 300+ and unsubscribe/remove them.

I believe posting does automatically have you as subscribed to the thread. However, you have to choose to receive email notifications.
Every thread I have posted in or started is listed as a subscribed thread for me. However, I have never gotten and still do not get email notifications (and don't want any at this point). I think the default is "off" re: email notification.
