Where is this ad jays. Most of the ad's are from google add choices and most are based off of your own browsing activity. I have checked out amazon.com for camera's and then a couple hours later came to sc and the ad's were all about camera's. Never seen the ad you mention though.

Where is this ad jays. Most of the ad's are from google add choices and most are based off of your own browsing activity. I have checked out amazon.com for camera's and then a couple hours later came to sc and the ad's were all about camera's. Never seen the ad you mention though.

Yep, unless it is a site wide ad set we can't change them, google uses what you search for as well as any demographics it has to decide what you see

The way it works is that when they sign up as an advertiser, they give google a list of keywords that prompt that ad to be shown, so if cougar choose certain words (even ones unrelated to its site) that you have searched or frequent websites using those words.

If you have a google account, you can opt out of certain advertisers (you will need to work out which one cougar uses). Mouse over the ad, and in the corner you will see a blue arrow with AdChoices. Click that arrow and you can opt out of personalized advertising which means you will only see ads targetted to that website. You can also opt out here: http://www.google.com/ads/preferences?hl=en (but choosing it from the ad itself will sometimes tell that that particular ad should not be shown to you)

Ever since I blogged the vistaprint deal, all I have is ads from them - maybe go there and they will take over your advertising and stop those pesky cougar ads being show
