As a newbie SC, I'm still learning the ropes, and building my coupon stash. There's a Loblaws not too far from the university, so I grabbed five loaves of bread that had 50% off stickers. (Saved $4.70) The 'best before' date was the 16th, so I threw them in the freezer when I got home.

BUT while I was there I wandered the aisles and grabbed a couple (handfuls!) of coupons that I hadn't seen before, including the Post cereal 75c off. I remembered that Price Choppers had Post Cereals on sale 2 for $3 (limit of 6) - so I got six boxes of cereal for $4.50 (Saved $4.50)

Some of the coupons I picked up at Loblaws include the pasta recipe booklet with sauce, pasta, olive oil, fish and garden cocktail coupons inside, BOGO Pedigree dentabone, free chunky chicken noodle soup WYB 3 chunky products, $1 off Nabob coffee, BOGO Whiskas treats, 50c off Dr. Oetker Shakers, and 75c off GayLea spreadables

There's also a PetSmart next to the Loblaws, where I used a $10 coupon on ProPlan kitten food, ($12.69 - 10.00 = $2.69) and used my PetPerks card to save $3 on cat litter. (Saved $13.00)

$22.20 in coupons used today! That brings me up to $81.65 so far this year - - getting closer to my $1000 goal

Honestly, if you don't have a coupon, don't shop. You can find a coupon for just about anything out there. Good for you on your savings. Every little bit does count. Every time I save $1 with a coupon, I reward myself with an iTunes song.
