I got the same info / i also spoke to a wal-mart duty manager earlier and was told that many of the printed coupons are returned to them and they are not getting paid for the products. (the reason my store stopped accepting them) if people are changing the size and making them invalid, no wonder the stores are not accepting them anymore. Its Sad.

I hope that everyone has a good laugh after reading this! After looking at the product, it really wasn’t worth the hassle (personally, not likely to purchase the item again unless it ends up in a final clearance bin), but I had to try (out of curiosity) redeeming the (original SCJ) gianormous (I thought that the gocoupons were large) coupon which itself looks like someone drafted using photo editing software. The cashier first thought I was giving them a legal document to read...I could see that they were both confused and ready to give me that look you get when trying to redeem a printable coupon. Apparently even a legitimate printable coupon is not deemed "legitimate"...so it began...
<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>
Cashier: What is this? This is photocopied, can’t accept it. We don’t accept this type of coupon.
<o:p></o:p>
Customer: According to store policy, printable internet coupons are acceptable as long as they meet the necessary requirements (clear expiry date, Canadian mailing address, contact info listed etc.). Handed over a copy of the retailer’s coupon policy.
<o:p></o:p>
Cashier: Still perplexed. Okay, so where did you print this from?
<o:p></o:p>
Customer: Manufacturer’s website. You can verify the legitimacy of the coupon by calling the 1-800 number listed on the coupon or checking on-line (I explained that you would have to set up an account to access the coupon).
<o:p></o:p>
Cashier: No, can’t accept it.
<o:p></o:p>
Customer: Handed over the screen shot of the website which clearly identifies the website address and coupons that could be printed directly from the site (without the screenshot you can only view the website and a mixture of images but not the coupons that are being offered).
<o:p></o:p>
Cashier: Looked over the documents again (I am sure that the cashier was quite frustrated at this point)...paused....looked at me...Okay, I will “allow it this one time” and proceeded to ring in the sale.
<o:p></o:p>
I was ready to break out in a hysterical laughing fit because the cashier didn’t know what do with the coupon after the sale (too big to fit into the normal storage compartment). I am beginning to believe that it is much easier to apply for a passport these days than redeem a legitimate printable coupon! If this continues I will have to begin weight lifting so I can carry my coupon binder and the necessary documentation(store policy, websites etc.), retain a “coupon lawyer” and submit a sample of my DNA to redeem a printable! Next time I use a printable it will be for a product that I really need...at least it will be worth the time/effort.

I'm sorry but resizing a coupon that is severely too large to begin with should not be against any law. There is no difference printing out 4 of those super large coupons than printing out smaller versions. They are not edited in any way, just shrunk down. Who in their right mind wouldn't rather use a smaller one? What a waste of ink if SC Johnson expects everyone to print off 8 gigantic-size-of-my-head coupons and be taken seriously at the store.

I used the FPC at Shoppers today....I don't normally buy smellies but hey for free? You betcha!
The cashier read the whole thing through then took the discount while commenting "this is the biggest coupon I've even seen"
I didn't even clue in about the SIZE *LOL* I thought she meant the dollar value!

I completely agree that it is the biggest waste of ink and paper, however I think by altering the coupon in any way the store will not recieve the money back which will only result in SCJohnson not providing them any more or stores not accepting printable coupons at all. Which would be a same either way. I think if we have a problem with the way the coupons come we should take it up with SC Johnson. Just my opinion

I called because my printer was not working -they said they only have printable and to go to the library or something and print them off! So good luck! By the way there is millions of printables out there-look at all the American web sites. Sc johnson just does them wrong--crazy! People here do not need to get so upset about it. They will figure it out like the Jelly Belly on line coupon that you can only print one a day.
