I am one of the mystery shoppers for them and I just got a weird email from one of the workers asking for information again on one of my jobs that I did and wanted to also know...my hair colour, how I was wearing it that day, what I was wearing, body shape, age..etc. Has anyone else had this before? Plus the guy seemed to be an ass I asked him to please let me know what store it was and I could send him the info right away and I guess i must have called him the wrong name so he just sent an email back to me correcting me on his name. He mentioned in his first email that if I didn't get the information to him with 24hrs I would not get paid for the job and will be taken off all of those type of jobs. He seemed like someone on a power trip. I think I need to tell him that I do this for fun and it isn't my career. Sometimes I wonder if it is worth it.

ok enough ranting for me...i rant when i'm sick.

That does not sound very professional - and is that the type of info you are normally required to provide? I just don't see why it matters what your hair color is or what you were wearing. Any time i've been shopped they record what my hair color was and what I was wearing as the worker, not this info from the shopper!

And I hope you feel better soon.

That sounds very strange... I would contact the company directly and ask what is up.... Please do let us know how it pans out.

It sounds like the staff, at the store you shopped at, are trying to dispute your report and they are trying to identify who the mystery shopper was for that purpose..

Did the store get a lukewarm review? (without naming the store of course)

From what I was told by my supervisor, not the moron that sent me the original email , is that the store thinks they have figured out who the mystery shopper was and wanted to know all about me so they can match it to their descriptions.

Also the review wasn't bad. I have made A LOT worse. The only thing was that the kid wasn't in uniforn and wearing a nametag....that's it....no biggie....at least to me it isn't. Not sure what the store thinks of that.

Now I kind of had to fib only because this was after the car accident and I had to bring Austin with me. One of their big rules is not to bring anybody with you.

I'll let you know if I hear anything else. I did just finally get a response from the moron an hour ago though and all his email stated was the store name. I love how he tells you this is top priority and I only have 24 hrs but then he takes 17 hours to respond to your question. Sometimes I just have to shake my head.

And thanks Prue I am feeling a lot better now.

Tell him you are a hot blonde. Oh, and wearing a miniskirt... perhaps then he will suddenly be nicer.

I had something similar happen to me except it was the store I mystery shopped for that was disputing my report. I got an email stating the EXACT conversation I had with the clerk which totally freaked me out! How do they know that?? Anyway, I managed to get out of it but you're right, sometimes it's just not worth the $10!
Hey, where am I going? And why am I in this handbasket?

I have never had this happen, I have done dozens of different shops. I hope it all works out for you. I would not give the guy the information, but go to a supervisor or someone in charge.

The store likely had video surveillance and maybe they used it to transcribe the conversation. Our store has such as set up with audio and I suppose if motivated this could be done.
