Good Luck. Haggle, haggle, haggle. It amazes me that some people pay the sticker price ...what??? My dh is an engineer in the auto industry so we haggle then just as they come down quite a bit - we tell them we get the employee discount and get it further reduced (of course we provide proof for this). We have left with payinng between $8 000- $10 000 off what they were asking. Be prepared the original salesperson will have to pass you on to their superior and by the end you are dealing with the manager...it's really a funny process (I just wish it wasn't SO time consuming)

Tell them you want the employee purchase price. It's usually about cost + $500. We did that for one of our vans. We had a nice salesman and I 'm actually still friends with him 10 years later even though he doesn't work there anymore. LOL
You can try to get them to knock off transport and prep. fees also which is about $1500. Just ask for the world going in all they can do is say no.
You can also get one of the cars that the sales people use. They usually have a few thousand kilometers on them but they can be up to 25% less and they still come with the full guarantee.

my husband is "one of those people" who pay sticker price....you should have heard my dad give him poop when he just walked in and paid sticker price for a brand new 2010 pickup(minus our trade in of course, but still)....he's horrible for stuff like that.

We bought a chevy colorado...
We got 10k off the sticker price and our other car loan is gone now, it was covered in the trade in, we got about what we'd get for it in a private sale because we checked out pricing and we were pretty close.
We made out better then last time thats for sure.
Did i want a truck? Not really lol but its what dh wants and I picked the last car.

I love that new car smell, then we start smoking in the car and it smells like a$$ all over again. Well not that bad, but you know what I mean.
