i agree with the above posters. won't be hard to find a good one second hand. one coat of paint and it will look brand new!

If you buy anything used, dust it with a layer of diatomaceous earth for a bit to get rid of any pests or bedbugs... it is also safe for pets so no worry about poisoning them. Diatomaceous earth is very cheap and can be found at health food stores... they are a cheap, safe, enviro friendly, natural bug insecticide.
Buy a baby powder dispenser at a dollar store. Empty it elsewhere. Fill with the diatomascueous earth and blow it into the corners of furniture....

Are there JYSK stores in BC? They have reasonable prices if you're looking for something new. I just bought a small computer desk 2 days ago for $60.
