I LOVE your blog!! How exciting for those of us who haven't ventured, or at least haven't had to deal with everything on a day-to-day basis as you are! That photo of the arches is lovely!!! Keep them coming and I wish you would start a thread in SC about your adventures and journeys. I'd certainly keep up with it!!

Stay safe and well, Hon...Hubby and I are off to NewJersey to visit NewYork for the next week, and in spite of the hurricane that ravaged so much of that east coast, our hotel is fine, as is transit into Manhattan, so we're expecting to be fine. I wish our timing was better, but not going now would mean we'd lose lots of money with our hotel, and the broadway tickets we have.
Take good care of yourself.....you're a very brave young woman and I think most women your age (our daughter included) wouldn't take on such a challenge. You're an inspiration!!!

You are braver than I ( and younger . lol) I am set and comfortable and you couldn't pay me to travel ( just never my thing) The students you will be teaching want to learn English then? It is just a year, so I suppose with the internet access and connection to your loved ones it will go fast. I bookmarked your blog to check it out periodically. Good luck !!

hey lekate, sorry I crashed fast asleep, just woke up around 3;30 a.m. So Hamburger Helper? Who eats it? It is crap, complete garbage. I wasted some $$ maybe 18 months ago, maybe longer, when they had the FREE Green Giant frozen veg coupon on the box. I cooked up maybe 3 boxes one mealtime and everyone was soooo silent and pushing their food around on the plate, no one took second helpings.
They asked me to never make that again. lol

I am no saint either, just came to my senses, as well as my family, we just don't buy it.

he was young and foolish! ended up staying an extended period, w/o visa of course. somehow pissed off the embassy nad ended up being banned. served a tiny bit of time in jail, came home.

i hope you go though. being in east asia is very different, and it is pretty fun. if you can, try to arrange passing through Japan or something. stay a few days and try to see another place why you are traveling all that way anyways.

anyways, have fun, i'm sure you will make the most of it!

Well I'm sure they appreciate anything they can get! I live in a wealthy area (I'm not one of them LOL) so the pet valu I go to the donation bin was overflowing with food and toys, and the store was covered with paw prints haha. Even if it's a dollar I know it's going towards helping animals so its all good to me.

I'll have to go back in and figure out who its exactly they are fundraising for though LOL

Haha! I thought that's where you worked, I donated my $2. Not a problem! But when grocery stores or other places ask me they can shove it up there you know what LOL

I just hope it stays peaceful on that thread lol, but that rarely happens on here.
