I LOVE your blog!! How exciting for those of us who haven't ventured, or at least haven't had to deal with everything on a day-to-day basis as you are! That photo of the arches is lovely!!! Keep them coming and I wish you would start a thread in SC about your adventures and journeys. I'd certainly keep up with it!!

Stay safe and well, Hon...Hubby and I are off to NewJersey to visit NewYork for the next week, and in spite of the hurricane that ravaged so much of that east coast, our hotel is fine, as is transit into Manhattan, so we're expecting to be fine. I wish our timing was better, but not going now would mean we'd lose lots of money with our hotel, and the broadway tickets we have.
Take good care of yourself.....you're a very brave young woman and I think most women your age (our daughter included) wouldn't take on such a challenge. You're an inspiration!!!

I have been really busy, but sick for the past week, I went hiking and it was really cold/rainy the second day I haven't been here much, mostly busy, or going through all my photos that I take (so many!). I do post on a blog, penniesandnarwhals.wordpress.com, if you want to see what I'm up to, I suppose I can make a post in the Tea Room though :D How are you?

Sorry I didn't respond earlier! I work in retail currently but have a degree in Political Science, I either want to go back and do my MA in policy and analysis, or go into nutrition, ah, decisions!

Hi, Hon....the field of nutrition seems like it's really opening up..what with all us seniors looking for ways to stay healthy and Moms trying to keep their kids away from preservatives (which may help ME, I'm thinkin'!)....what field are you working in presently?...I'm assuming by what you said that you have a degree...?
Our DD is a Certified Financial Planner, so she invests other peoples' millions, all the while working to end up with that, too! LOL!! Oh, she's a wonder, alright...a great Mom to our grandson...and tries to keep her Mom current... Which I try to do...only sometimes successfully...

Going back to school to go into a career that you really care about certainly makes sense...didn't someone say that doing the work you love isn't work at all?

I don't mind working a lot, I just need to find a real career and follow that path, I'm debating going to school for nutrition and maybe become a nutritionist, or go back to Carleton and get my MA, I'm really interested in nutrition though, the food industry and how it affects our health overall.

May I ask what your dd does? Sounds like she's talented in what she does

You sound like our DD, Hon...she's working just about that much lately! She has new clients coming out of the woodwork...I imagine that word is getting around about her...She's up for being in the top 40 in the country for winning a trip...it would be so nice if she was one of the winners...she could use a break!

haha, yes I had to mention teh poop I'm sure training will be easy, just make sure to be consistent. And of course, if you do treat training to pick something healthy My cat's got me pretty well trained on opening the jar of freeze dried chicken and giving her some...I mean I was supposed to train her not to go onto counters. Damn. CONGRATS
