That was a very interesting article, thanks for sharing. You really do walk into a sea of pink in stores in October and who knows where any of the money is going. It's sad. Next year I think I'll do a Brain Tumour awareness booth at Walmart in October through the brain tumour foundation of canada if if wm will let me!

Hi, Hon....the field of nutrition seems like it's really opening up..what with all us seniors looking for ways to stay healthy and Moms trying to keep their kids away from preservatives (which may help ME, I'm thinkin'!)....what field are you working in presently?...I'm assuming by what you said that you have a degree...?
Our DD is a Certified Financial Planner, so she invests other peoples' millions, all the while working to end up with that, too! LOL!! Oh, she's a wonder, alright...a great Mom to our grandson...and tries to keep her Mom current... Which I try to do...only sometimes successfully...

Going back to school to go into a career that you really care about certainly makes sense...didn't someone say that doing the work you love isn't work at all?

You sound like our DD, Hon...she's working just about that much lately! She has new clients coming out of the woodwork...I imagine that word is getting around about her...She's up for being in the top 40 in the country for winning a trip...it would be so nice if she was one of the winners...she could use a break!

I sort of " gave up " when it came to trying to control what my kids ate after a certain age when they did what they wanted despite my warnings of " indulging " in sweets, treats and the like. Commercials are the worst thing ever for very small minds and I feel so sorry for parents now, as everything seems to have gotten even worse than when mine were little. You my dear are so very smart, and I do admire the choices you make, wish I could find some new willpower for my own " food weaknesses" , definitely got worse after turning 50! ( lol)

Oh, we don`t need to rough them up, I`ll just get Lily dog to lick them to death. Better yet, I`ll borrow my neighbour`s dog - she`s OCD when it comes to licking. If they`re germaphobes, they won`t stand a chance.
