Me at Extra Foods buying Advil on sale (with a mix of manufacture coupons and printed coupons)
Cashier: It says one per purchase...you can only use one
Me: Actually it means one per purchased package
Cashier: We were told.....blah blah blah
Me: That's fine, I'll just pay for them seperate
(calls manager but continues to ring in my groceries)
Cashier: Does one per purchase mean one per package? (to cashier manager)
Manager: Yes, blah blah blah
Me: Lisen I don't care, I'll pay seperate
Manager: But you can't use these (waving my internet coupons)
Me: Good grief
(calls store manager and all my advil were put in and my printed coupons were used!)
I have to add that the cashier really was quite pleasant and apologetic that she was going to have to do it all seperately.
I had $53 in coupons yesterday at WM, which put me over their coupon limit. The cashier had to call CSM over for an override. She looked at all the coupons I used...and said with a smile... "wow...you must be the coupon queen" !! ha ha ha...made my day !!
yeah as a newbie coupon user...i find it hard to know what to say in response...cause i dont always know what the exact policy is on everything...like the other day i was peeved that zellers doesnt do SCOP...and sometimes im just a sissy and dont have the guts to just do it...i dunno...maybe with time.
I had a new cashier today, or I think she must have been new because she was really frazzled when she noticed every item had a coupon sitting on it :P I was buying 3 gilette fusion power razors with the instore/$4 off save.ca/free body wash wub when she got to that she looked puzzled
Cashier: "which coupon do you want to use?"
Me: "uh, all of them" (puzzled look back)
Cashier: You can't combine coupons
Me: With your instore and my manufacterer I can, its your policy. If you need to call and ask I'm fine waiting... (the people behind me in line did not look fine with waiting lol)
Cashier: okay, but she is definitely saying no to this
Me: no answer, have a little silent chuckle in my head
CSM heads over, takes a 3 second look at all my coupons...
CSM: yup, accept them all.
i loved the `she is definitely saying no` it was all i could do to hold back my eye roll. lol.
I picked up 4 egg creations with some of my groceries tonight and although the cashier didn't say anything directly to me she walked over to the head cashier (or a manager or someone) and said "The eggs are $1 and she has $1 coupons. Can she have them for free" and the other person said "Yeah, happens all the time with sales".
I was just glad she didn't try to argue with me or say anything and went directly to someone to clarify.
At Zehrs Great Food, I had a wonderful cashier who took all my coupons with no problem. I have had her before and even gave her some coupons before.
Her: Wow, your total before coupons was $98. But after your coupons it is only $41, that is amazing. You are GREAT!
Hubby: That's not the only thing she is great at, that's why I love her. (He's sweet but sometime ya just can't take them out in public - lol)
Me: :embarassed:
i used alot of coupons at rcss yesterday so someone had to come over to do an over ride and the man comes over adds them all up just under $45 and says wow your saving alot of money good for you i like to see customers using coupons he made my day and i just ignored the glares of the couple behind me lol
That's the way it SHOULD be when a cashier is not sure.
Love you 'egg bandits'! For someone who has never used this product, what is it really, and what do you use it for? Does it taste very different than real eggs?
I sent my teen son to SDM to get pizza cheese 2.99, 1.50 coupon - gave him 3 coupons. He had already done this the week before with three.
So he comes home and returns two coupons to me. I asked what happened, and he said the cashier would only accept one, saying one per purchase. He said he tried to explain, then just didn't want to 'get into it' further with her (I don't blame him, after all he was doing me a favour) - and he said he figured the cheese for 2.99 was a good price anyway because he just loves my homemade pizza. Well, flattery trumped coupon use!!!
I use to work at sobeys, and all the coupons get taken out and put into a cash bag where head office organize's them to be sent back for the store refund. The reciepts (from the tills) just get saved incase there is a cash error at the end of the shift or a stolen credit card was used. We didn't look to see how much ppl bought products for. Plus I think your cashier forgot one thing "The customer is always right" Good Deals !!
I think I threw out all my $1 egg creations coupons. Sucks to be me.
The other day I used coupons at value foods and the cashier grabbed them from me and was hitting her key pad hard as she took them off.. I was thinking omg girl its your job give me a break here...
Each carton equals approx.9 eggs. But they have EXTRA stuff in them - - I like the Southwestern - has red and green peppers in them. Chives and Cheese, Garden Vegetable, and just plain.
Makes an easy omelet or scrambled eggs.
I just toss on a little salsa and cheese with the Southwestern kind - very yummy!!!
