I was wondering if anyone on SC has Invisalign.
I just started my treatment yesterday, I'm wearing my first tray.
For those of you who don't know, they are clear braces.
Like the ones you see below. You have to change the "trays" every 2 weeks and they mold your teeth into shape.

Yea, your dentist/orthodentist has to do a consultation to see if your teeth qualify. Some problems cannot be fixed as well by invisalign so they would prefer you use traditional braces.
Most dentists do free consultations, so you can check it out with no strings attached if you are interested

My good friend just finished her invisaline treatment, it worked so well for her and her teeth look amazing, so straight.

Thanks for explaining, I didn't know what it was. I've always wanted to get braces, but I'm afraid it would be painful and painfully expensive.
How does it feel to use it and how long do you have to wear it until you're done?

It hurts like a toothache, a dull continuous pain. I was told, and I read online that the pain only lasts 3-4 days everytime you put in a new aligner tray (which is usually every 2 weeks). I personally have to wear it for about 6 months, but everyone's treatment plan is very different.
If you were looking to get braces, this might be a good alternative for you. You should ask your dentist/orthodentist what he/she thinks, they should consult for free. But, only some are qualified to sell Invisalign so just keep that in mind.
For me, my quote was about $1000 more compared to traditional braces and I thought it was worth the extra money. Less pain, more convenient since you can take them out to eat so food doesn't get caught in them.
If you have more questions, youtube/google it, very informative
