Just finished putting the second coat of black top on the driveway. Put the first coat on yesterday afternoon during the hottest part of the day. Guess I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer but after numerous beers I thought it was a great idea. LOL

My son is bored. He's waiting to go into his next training group - a month waiting in a classroom every day (except weekends) with nothing to do. What are those American's thinking? I'd be going mad if I was him. My natural doctor keeps trying to get me to meditate and I can't think of anything more torturous - think of nothing. I can't do it.

Wishes the cat just turned 70 a few days ago - 10 x 7 cat years. She is still my kitten although still ruling the place.

Just settled my mom's estate after 19 months and finished year end. Now I just need more PMP (Professional Project Management) exam prep students (my business) - business is slower - who wants to study in this great weather - no me

My cousin, wife and two kids are visiting in a few weeks from New Zealand. I haven't seen him since he was 8 and I was 19 so it will be great to see him and meet his family. He wants to go to Niagara Falls so I'll be a tourist - nice to see this great country of ours.

Sorry I'm still not very active on the board, but I still love you all and check in regularly. Love the cute pictures and many contributions from all my Q and SmartCanucks friends.

Back from my afternoon outing. Started off with free drinks (Martini & Rossi mimosa, Italian Iced Tea & Italian Lemonade), then we made our way down to the ferry docks (tall ships were docked just west of there). Then an iced coffee, & back home to see if we could catch a glimpse of the ships from my rooftop patio.

I can't believe how perfect the weather was for this outing. Lots of fun, but very tiring (for me, my 70+ yr old parents were still raring to go).

Here are a few pics. The first 2 are of the Bounty (built for the 1962 Marlon Brando flick), not sure of the names of the others (we got there after they'd left the dock), followed by my view from the roof (teeny ship in the centre).
