bonus code - walkthisway 5,000 pts (probalby already posted, but I didn't go back a few pages to find out)
Morning all, and thanks so much for codes and words.....AndiT rocks with her "at-a-glance" recap....
.....so....yesterday's meeting basically confirmed what we knew already, with the neurosurgeon explaining that the retest levels and readings are really low, but she was not allowed to say that the levels were zero.....take what you can from that....best we could hope for is that he could open his eyes, and that's a big maybe....
....OK, so next move is to remove the assistive devices, and we were told this could be quick, or he could linger as long as a week......?!??!?!?.....holy crap....let me say again, we are kinder to our pets....
....got a call last night from the oldest daughter who was still there, saying that my bro had wanted to be an organ donor, so she had called the "gift of life" people....unfortunately, they could not come till today, so she called me to ask what to do.....we kinda decided that a few hours would not make much difference to him at this point, and it also is in keeping with his wishes.....no life assistance was removed for the time being....the organs or whatever need to be taken within a 2 hour timeframe after death, but we don't know how long it'll take....I think this morning, the donor people just need paperwork signed, then the tubes and such can come out....
....and so we wait some more....one week today since the accident, and OMG....I have NEVER had such a long week in my life.....and it could drag way into a second week....relatives in Scotland are calling as well, so I am beginning to sound like broken record, explaining everything so far....they are all in stunned disbelief as well...
...again, thanks so much to all of you beautiful supportive spirits on here, both on the pages, and in private messages.... I feel wrapped up in a collective soft fluffy hug which I share with my bro and his kids...and please don't stop doing it .....not yet...love you guys....TR:flowers:
Morning all...
Andit's recaps are especially appreciated this week for me. My monitor tanked out on Monday... stupid power button isn't working. I figure it'll cost as much to fix it as it would to buy one from someone on Craigslist, so I've found one for $70, but I have to wait for Friday. In the meantime, my at-home net-surfing is limited to my phone and PS3. I'm gonna need glasses by the end of this week, I'm sure, lol!
Good morning Qbies!
Thanks for all the overnight reps, and WW's. Last night was a lazy night for me, went to the movies and watched Predators, if you loved the classic 1987 Predator with Arnie, then you'll love this as it flows very nicely. Congrats to all the Qbers that won yesterdays 9-5 ticket giveaway, had a friend who was able to go to the Rush show, and he said it was amazing. Tomorrow we get another stab at getting those Rush tickets, so goodluck to everyone who will be trying to call in.

HAPPY HUMPDAY ALL!
Truer words have never been spoken. I wonder how many opponents of euthanasia have had to deal with something like this?
Hang in there, TR. http://shopofenlightenment.com/forum...miley_hug2.gif
Wow I was thrown for a loop this morning when I looked at Donato's cartoon. More like f***ing stunned.
Thats very bad news TR. We had a call not long ago with very similar results for the poor guy who had fallen and hit his head and ended up with a brain injury as well. They had to have a family meeting similar to yours to decide to pull the plug which they did and he passed away within a few hours. Lets hope for your families sake this happens in your case as well as it is very tough on the family playing the waiting game to see what will happen and when. I do not envey you or your family for what you are going through but stay tough and keep in touch with your family and friends who will be your key to getting through this tragedy. Keep your chin up and remember the good things about your brother the more you talk about him and the funny things he used to do it will help ease the pain a little bit. All I'm saying (long winded and all) is remmebr him for who he was and enjoy those memories.
