Lots happening for Loocie today. My m-i-l is in the hospital & we're hoping she'll get through this. Even though I have not been with her son in many years, she was very supportive to me & my boys in their growing up years. A courageous & strong woman who made my life easier in so many ways.

I'm worried, but I am keeping the faith.

Thank you for sharing the update on your friend's cousin.
I am glad they caught the creep, and I know we can all
spare some time to pray for this young man and help him
along his road back.

Just got a quick call from my friend. Her cousin is still fighting, so there is a tiny glimmer of hope he'll make it (no clue on how much damage there will be, one bridge at a time). THANK YOU for all your prayers, clearly they are helping. If anyone has a few more prayers to spare, I'd appreciate them.

Morning all. Good News ..... hubby talked to family a-plenty last night, including the groom, and almost each and every person said the same thing: GO TO BOSTON!! Only hold-out was his Dad. (Oh well - you can please some of the people, all of the time .........) So, with most of the family's blessing, he'll be accompanying me to Boston. Now, just have to see about Kidlet's schedule.

Looked it up last night - J. Geils is the opening act. I'll have to brush up on their discography - I can only think of Centerfold, Freeze Frame and Love Stinks. Also found out J. Geils is out of Worchester Mass. Looks like it will be a homecoming for all the boys!!

Two nuns, Sister Marilyn and Sister Helen, are traveling through Europe in
their car. They get to Transylvania and are stopped at a traffic light.
Suddenly, out of nowhere, a tiny Dracula jumps onto the hood of the car
and hisses through the windshield.

"Quick, quick!" shouts Sister Marilyn. "What shall we do?" "Turn the
windshield wipers on. That will get rid of the abomination" says Sister
Helen.

Sister Marilyn switches them on, knocking Dracula about, but he clings on
and continues hissing at the nuns.

"What shall I do now?" she shouts.

"Switch on the windshield washer. I filled it up with Holy Water at the
Vatican ," says Sister Helen.

Sister Marilyn turns on the windshield washer. Midget Dracula screams as
the water burns his skin, but he clings on and continues hissing at the
nuns.

"Now what?" shouts Sister Marilyn.

"Show him your cross," says Sister Helen.

"Now you’re talking," says Marilyn.

She opens the window and shouts, "Get the f*ck off our car!"

Wow, a big CONGRATS to Argo on her Aerosmith win!!! Wow, I really wanted that prize but sounds like Argo will enjoy. I also love J. Geils! If she has an extra space I'd love to go!!!!

Andit: Glad they caught that thug who almost killed your friend's cousin, that is very serious and I hope he gets what he deserves!! We don't need people like that walking around that's for sure. Hope the victim can come out of this okay.

Loocie: Hope you m-i-l can have strength to beat whatever is ailing her.

Karmac: Wow, sounds like that doggy is pretty friendly. I love Lhasa Apso/poodle mixes. They are sooooooo cute. It would be great if you decide to give him a second chance!!! What is his story? Was he just brought into the shelter? There are soooo many doggies and kitties needing another chance at a home Good luck with your decision. I say go for it, if you feel you can give him a good home, he'll probably bring you much happiness!!!

I'm thrilled it is a short week!

My vacation is approaching very slowly...
and I am happy it's on the way ...

TR I am glad for you anf your family that the funeral went the way you
wanted it and that so many took the time to pay their respects to your brother.
As for wacko he had married.... she forgets her kids are the ones
that will place her in a senior's home....or worse....
She will have her time for sure!

Am leaving early to head up to Rama for Bad Company. I have
liked them for years...should be an exceptional show!

Morning all, BTW....and many thanks for the words/codes catchup....I always listen on line here, so there's no tmuch chance of me being first with words....
....and I want to thank everyone who offered their support during this whole nightmare of losing my brother.....update on the b*tch of a "wife" ( they were still in divorce courts after 7, yes 7 years )
..... she got 25,000 from insurance, yet she stuck her own kids with the funeral bill.....unbelievable....
...she showed up at the visitation and the funeral as well, came out of the church-y part of the funeral home after the service, walked RIGHT PAST the elevators and had to be "helped up" the stairs to the reception place.....gotta get the drama thing in, right?....people kept asking me "what the hell is SHE doing here?", and for those who didn't know her, I took great delight in pointing her out, and telling them some of the stunts she has pulled....no-one could quite believe the nerve of it.....and my bro would have been absolutely furious cos she was there.....
.....however, I am happy to report that the funeral home was packed....the church place was jammed, even tho extra seats were brought in.....
....their "overflow" room was filled as well.....yup, he was a much loved guy, dunno how he managed to attract such a mentally ill broad.....apparently her place looks like a scene out of "Hoarders" these days.....mentally ill or not, what goes around comes around, and if it's based on how sh*tty a person you are, she should be deluged with crap real soon......can't wait to see it unfold....yup, I am pretty bitter about how my brother was treated, and the only comfort is knowing he'll never have to put up with crap from her, or anyone, again....
....but geeze, I am still in disbelief about all of this.....TR

that's a shame, sticking the kids with the funeral expenses, but she'll get what she deserves in the end. the good thing is you don't have to see her again & neither does your brother.
