hi and thanks for everyones prayers.....they worked...he is now stabilized... but we had a scare....after the report on city TV, he went downhill , and his blood pressure dropped, heart beat elevated....they couldn't operate...his lungs weren't actually punctured, but his stomach was... and he had puncture wounds all over one side....his other side had a 2" hole... this is what happened.. my son in law let the dogs out at 6am and went back in the house , to, you know, pee... when he came out of the bathroom he heard the coyotes outside and ran out to get the dogs... he saw Gina, the jack russel, and her and Pablo's pup Jack, running fior the house, while Pablo faced down 3 coyotes.....my daughter ran out to get him...he looked like a goner....son on law went to get the shovel but my daughter said no and rushed him to the emergency hospital... oh.. they just came in from the hospital brb.....

we lived on a farm with 164 acres in the Netwonville area right near Kirby ski hill
We had 2 Jack russles and a shepard cross austrial shepard.. the older jack Tabbi was found out in the field with a hole in her side. My son dog he was heart broken as we all were. then we had a long hair jack her name was massy. the shepard Elli the dog we still have. I let massy and Elli out at 4am when I get up for work. come back go to bathroom as I am in bathroom I hear this god awful noise from the dog. not sure what dog I go running back out with rest of family. to find just Elli at the door shaking she was just a pup .. needless to say we lost a good friend that day. Eli is in my profile pic with the Cat cuddles who Growles when you pick her up or pet her . she is funny like that ..

we were told by neribours that they had let a few cougars loose in the area to keep down the coyotes. not sure if it was cougar or coyote that got her .. good bless massy and tabbi ..

good news for pablo.....he will be having surgery in the morning... and he will make it... when they shaved him on the other side where the puncture wounds were, there was a 5" cut on that side too.....he's a lucky boy... and i have to thank everyone for their prayers today.... i know it helped...Pablo thanks you too.... oh and by the way... we are all officially broke now..... and thanks to the vet on staff at the hospital...he came thru and saved us a lot of money... and Pablo will be with us for christmas..watch the 11pm news on city TV...you'll see the little guy...

Cougars, Yah ,right. I don't think so. Not released ones, that's for sure. It's more likely inbred coyotes. They're like small wolves in that area.

I snuck the short one into my friend's office earlier tonight to provide some stress relief. Hard not to smile at the little brat curled up in my purse, wearing his winter coat (wimp was cold!). The doggy was a bit jealous that she didn't get to go, but I don't have a purse big enough to sneak her in.

164 acres would bw my dream....jack rusels are so personable....right now i have an eight yr. old springer,,she never leaves my side .pablo is my grandsons dog...he was pretty happy when he was over tonight.. couldn't keep the smile off his face when he knew Pablo was ok....

i can't thank everyone enough for the concern...shown for Pablo.....you are a great bunch .....so now i can go back to my baking... big party tomorrow night in alliston, and i'm bringing dessert... I've made homemade lemon merange squares and i'm on to the apple pies now... got a bushel of apples in brighton this week...half spies and half royal gala...made apple sauce yesterday.. and pickled onions....they turned out so well... i've never made them before...wish i 'd written down the recipe....never turn out the same way twice lol so sorry about your jack russels 6fright9 they are members of the family around here, and they are always allowed on my couch...can't watch TV without them curled up with me...

On a more creepy note,
Our Durham police have arrested a guy out here 3 blocks from me, that has been breaking into peoples homes and well, satisfying himself on their furniture while the homeowners were asleep. He finally got a little more aggressive and was peeking into his last victims bedroom, she woke up and managed to get him out by giving him food and money.

I know he is locked up now but I don't want to sleep. What a freak. We lost our dog amost a year ago, I miss how safe I felt with the dog here. The cat is mean but she still hasen't got that attack command down yet...

It ass been a long day, and over all a good one.

I stayed away from here because of my work. So much to do.

It was also the anniversary of my father's passing, 11 years ago
to this exact day...

I said a small prayer and ...
lit a candle in his memory
that will burn for 24 hours. I miss him very much.
