Wandering around here on Cell Block Q, the Warden has just handed me another W*rk Pass.
His response...
Oh well...
That is what one expects when on Standby.

Echo Beach Turns 30
When Ontario College of Art student Mark Gane wrote “Echo Beach” for Martha and the Muffins back in 1978, he had no idea if such a place existed. Two years later, the song became a worldwide hit while the album, Metro Music, sold by the truckload. “Echo Beach” went on to become a New Wave classic.
--Love this song, hadn't heard it in years.
It used to always run through my head when
I was in a boring situation I couldn't escape from.

I always find it odd/peculiar/strange/funny when CANADIANS say that "HOW REALLY COLD IT IS OUTSIDE" - Come ON People! This IS Canada! What it may be -10 degrees outside! IF this is really cold outside what is it when it's -20 degrees outside? I really don't understand.

Good Evening Qsters.
I had a couple of music glitches today, but otherwise, it was a marvelous day.
When I got out of the shower this am, the Q was playing my new non-favourite Idol song. I walked out of the bathroom, stark naked and dripping wet and yelled into the study to hubby "I HATE THIS SONG". He chuckled and said he was wondering how long it was going to take for me to comment. (Then he said ... hey, I'm already at the computer, do you want me to tell your SC friends?? - Smart a$$ man of mine). Then as I walked into the hairdresser, (not Q) another Idol tune!! At least this time it was Mony, Mony.
I have movie passes that expire on the 30th so was thinking of taking in a flick tonight .... anyone have a recommendation? I was thinking about RED; not only do I like the entire ensemble of actors, I'm at the age where I think I might enjoy seeing "older folk" kick some butt!! I haven't read any reviews though .... opinions? Please and thanks.Courage is not the absence of fear but acting in spite of it.

This afternoon my hairdresser and I had a conversation about songs such as this. We came up with this Echo Beach, Highschool Confidential and Blinded by the Light as songs that you could have in your head without going bonkers!
..... You aren't my hairdresser, are you?Courage is not the absence of fear but acting in spite of it.
