Recently, the Psychic Hotline and Psychic Friends Network have launched hotlines for frogs. Here is the story of one frog and his discussing with his psychic.
A frog telephones the Psychic Hotline and is told, "You are going to meet a beautiful young girl who will want to know everything about you."
The frog says, "This is great! Will I meet her at a party, or what?"
"No," says the psychic. "Next semester in her biology class."

Thanks for the timing heads up Buttertart.
Just turned on the Derby and wow!! Is there a condition below "sloppy"? How about "swampy"?
I've been a race fan (well thoroughbred fan) for years and can't recall conditions this bad. Post time is less than an hour away and even if gale force winds (without precipitation) immediately kicked up, no way it would dry enough to be even the standard definition of "sloppy". You really want to be out in the lead from the get-go; else your horse will be carrying an extra 20 lbs by race end!Courage is not the absence of fear but acting in spite of it.

Hi everyone
Hope everyone is having a good Saturday. I managed to do some gardening before the rain, went shopping for a new cat (but didn't get any ), and managed to get some Vitamin D when the sun came out earlier.
Probably will watch a movie and play some Rock Band tonight.

I remember being terrified of the Flyer when I was a kid!
What a race! The winner was Super Saver ridden by Calvin Borel (aka Calvin BoRAIL) and he won his third Derby in four years in his signature style - on the rail! Ice Box rallied hard on the outside for a second place finish and as they said at the end of the broadcast, he's definitely a horse to watch in two weeks at the Preakness, along with Super Saver.
Also of note, the trainer Todd Pletcher FINALLY won a Derby! He had been 0-24 up to this year and was sick of being reminded that despite all his other successes, he had never won a Derby. With Borel on board a win was almost assured! Calvin Borel says he thinks Super Saver can take the Triple Crown this year - the first since 1978 if he can pull it off. Best of luck, I have been waiting a VERY long time to see that happen!

Time for me to switch gears and tune into NASCAR, on the SC Nascar Rules thread:

Hope everyone got a little Vit D (in the 5 minutes the sun was out).
I had a long day at the theatre (no complaints, I love it there).
When I got home, Lily dog reminded me we should go out & stop & smell some flowers (& yes, that is a TML leash).

Hey db band, heard you went kitty shopping! What happened? Where did you look? I hate to think of the poor puds that weren't adopted No, I know you have to get the kind of pet that you would want, but I'm just wondering what happened, I'm sure you'll find some pud to fit in with your new spynx kiitten.

Hope everyone had a wonderful day.
The dog & I spent 20 minutes trying to convince a little sparrow that the garage was not an appropriate home (poor thing kept flying into the glass). I'm hoping he/she finally got out (we have an open area), since we tried to chase him/her in that direction. We'll have to go back down tomorrow morning to check on the little creature.
Night all.
