He was talking about running into somenoe whose name he couldn't remember, & how awkward that is when he has someone with him, since he can't do a proper introduction. He actually called it name ambush, but left it at ambush.

I like his convoluted explanations too.

If not for the Snopes check I would have dismissed this. Even with the verification, the quote which I left above causes me to question the origin of the story. Police and Fire are not there to 'incur' danger for you, rather to mitigate it when necessary. Also, if he suspected the bottle was an explosive device, proper procedures would have been to leave it in place and call for the necessary personnel and equipment, not to move it himself. And after one 'detonated itself within 30 seconds' he would have been foolish to do it again as described.

Often you can tell the false stories by how poorly they are written, how inconsistent the details are or how sensational their tone is. This one comes close.

Just heard on the news that Jocko Thomas passed away.

I listened to CFRB every morning while having breakfast from kindergarten to Grade 13. I can still hear his distinctive sign-off "... this is Jocko Thomas reporting for CFRB from Police HeadQUARRRTTTERRRRS".

Just in from Iron Man 2. I was very skeptical going in - sequels rarely live up to the hype and expectations, and Iron Man left some rather large shoes to fill. 2 picks up shortly after the end of the original, and it has EVERYTHING the original had and more: humour, action, great effects, and a budding relationship between Tony and Pepper.

If you enjoyed the original, it goes without saying you'll enjoy the sequel. DON'T leave as the credits start to roll, though. After the credits finish, there's a quick tease for a Marvel film now in production. (I won't spoil the fun, but everyone who stuck around was stoked)

A day something like yours .. started work last night at 11:00 - 7:45

Daughter had a 9:30 am appointment at hospital. didn't call her in till
10:45 ish .. didn't let us leave till 1:00pm ish ..

got home set her up with water and remote for T.V

called second job to see what time could be the latest I come in ..
have to be there no later 5:30 ..

get to bed at 1:30hish up at 4:45
work till 9:30 .. get to first job for 11pm- I am beat right now

how will I make for the remainder of shift and tomorrow 7:45 then home about 9ish

stay awake to try calling in for tickets ..
