The Reckless Driver: A Punny Tale

Driving to work last week, Nicholas had to swerve quite violently to avoid a box that fell out of a lorry in front of him.
Moments after, a policeman pulled him over and accused him of reckless driving. Fortunately, another officer had also seen the container in the road. The policemen stopped traffic and recovered the box. It was found to contain large upholstery tacks.
'I'm sorry sir,' the first traffic cop told Nicholas, 'but I am going to have to write you a ticket.'
Amazed, Nicholas asked for what.
The policeman retorted, 'Tacks evasion.'

We didn't see Maple Leaf Fudge, but as we were leaving town on Niagara Stone Rd, we spotted a place called Chocolate F/X. May have to add that to the itinerary next time out as well!

If you were at Just Christmas, you were right around the corner from my favourite spot in Niagara on the lake. The Angel Inn. Great little English Pub with a great imported beer selection.

Chocolate F/X has been there for about 10 years. I have always been leery of that place just based on location. Never has looked like a good place for a food store. If you go, you will have to let me know what its like.

Saw the funniest thing yesterday. While in Niagara-on-the-Lake, there was a store called (I think) Just Christmas. They sell Christmas decorations year-round. (there's Christmas music playing everywhere in the store, except for the checkout area. I'd imagine the staff probably spend most of their time there, lol)

Among all the little trinkets, I saw an Elvis Nutcracker! A must for any Elvis fan. (too bad I don't decorate for Christmas)

That is a lovely store, my sister and I had a chick weekend last Nov... another radio station awarded us a wine and cheese party, dinner, overnight stay at the prince of wales, a facial..(sooooo nice) and breaky the next morn.. which coincidentally I met someone who put me intouch with my baby Sadies breeders..
Since it was all free.. I treated myself to a Buffalo bills Christmas wreath

I just found out that I'm $114.70 richer than I was on Friday morning. I checked my Lotto Max and I got 5 out of 7 numbers right. Now I'm going around telling people that I won the lottery and then after I get a reaction I tell them that it's not enough to retire on...just $114.70. But it sure makes me happy.

congrats Karmac.. it is always nice to find out that kind of news.. just remember what Mom said.. "don't spend it all in one place"..

We rocked at the Angel Inn after our dinner, and before retireing back to the POW..but I kinda grew up in NOTL.. my grandparents lived there.. so I was there often.
and as far as F/X... they have great chocolate.. just look past the strip club.. ( back in the late fifties it was just a nice hall called the rainbow inn.. my parents reception was there)
