I decided that a while ago, how they can have a name like OSPCA and do what they are doing, is way beyond me, just like they put the H.S. through hell for not killing enough animals now they should be put through hell for killing way too many for no reason!!!! What they hell happened to the !,000 some odd animals at the H.S. after they took it over. Yes, some were sick but where did all the rest go???? I doubt that will ever be answered. I just wish the poor animals could help themselves get away from so many humans who treat them badly, put on a collar and leash and they can't defend themselves (or if they arein a cage)

KNOCK KNOCK anyone else awake ?
Thanks everyone for the winning words today, much appreciated.
I feel so bad for those poor animals but wonderful people have done so much to help
the furry friends as much as they can,What really gets me is why the animals are there in the first place. When you adopt a pet its yours for life ,I could Never have a pet and just pass it off to a shelter,I have to say alot of people are heartless to get an animal and just ditch it for
whatever reason.
Time to relax and throw around some reps at 1am ,LOL"Life is short break the rules and never regret anything that made you smile"

being told that your parents are being called in, is suppose to be a scary thing. to them it seems when they get in trouble, they have a "whatever" attitude. [/QUOTE]
Well that is a thing of the past. when we grew up we
had strict parents. A cuff (some of us on the back of the head) on the shoulder smack on the butt. Teachers and Principal cared
Now the Law has taken all our rights away
Told the kids they can call the police or tell a teacher
we are abusing them by spanking.
Sending them to room with door closed is (forcible confinement)
Most parents think it is easier to just let kids do what
they want when they want .. rather then punish them
The Advice I give to my friends when there kids are being bad .. and trying to tell them ( being the parents) what to do.. I say to them .. you are the parent they are the child. they do as you say you don't do as they say ..
Not proud to say this .. but I was a bully .. spent most of my time in the principal office .. when I got sent home
suspending was for 2 weeks. my mother would send me to my aunts house where I would have to help with chores ... I HATED IT
I often get my friends or Nieces and Nephews sending me their kids for a few days
sorry Just had to vent on the subject ...

....As far as I can see, we are/were waaaaay too nice to our kids, so they now have this attitude of entitlement, cos they still want us to take care of their every little want ( case and point, my oldest asked me to buy him a couple of pairs of new jeans....um excuse me?!?!?....you have a job, stop buying beer and fast food, and you will be able to get them yourself).....
..........I remember watching on the news about events coming up for the kids ( bear with me, it's related!!)....Science Centre stuff, face painting, carnivals, the zoo.....all kinds of activities for them....now think back to your own childhood....what did you do on March Break?....Easter?...Christmas holidays???....did your parents ever devote their entire time to you and traipse you all over the place while you were off school?....betcha not......now, kids absolutely expect everything handed to them.....oh yeah.....that same oldest asked if we had money for college for him......um....no....get a student loan, cos you did zero homework during all your regular schooling years, so go waste YOUR money, not ours.... historically, he would not be a good return on our investment....bugger that nonsense.....TROrrabest, Orratime!!

Yup, pulling an all nighter here, gawd, my eyeballs are already burning.....we have hubby's dad with us right now, who fell and broke his wrist....right hand, and of course, he's right handed....poor thing, he has had shingles since Christmas, and it's showing no sign of letting up......he's 81, and I absolutely adore him, he's one of the sweetest men on the planet.....he looks so washed out.....at least, I can feed him, he hasn't been eating cos the pain from the shingles just knocks the stuffing outta him....I can sure commiserate with him, non stop pain completely tires you out.....TR:-(

good for her!!!.....she is paying it back, as she should....it's all part of the lesson on the value of money, and being a responsible enough person to realize just how hard you have to work to get it.....great lesson for her....of course, we'd like to give our kids the world, but what would that teach them?.....nada.....anything that comes to you free has no value for you, so you don't take care of it.....I know our two boys tell us their friends a) don't pay board, and b) their parents gave them a car and paid insurance, and c) are paying for their college/uni....good for them, but it just isn't going to happen like that for you......so sorry about your luck....
...I remember a daffy poem....an army fella sent his dad a telegram ( remember those, where you paid for every word???...LOL!!!), and it said:
no mon
no fun
your son....
...his dad replied with:
too bad
so sad
your dad
.....ROFL!!!!....TROrrabest, Orratime!!
