I'm so glad the rain held out on Friday.... the girls looked fantastic for prom... ohhh.. to be 18 again.... lol....

It was definitely a work week-end up at the boat... inside while it rained an outside when it cleared up... less to do on the nice week-ends!!

Man to swim English Channel

A French man with no arms or legs is poised to swim across the English Channel using a special suit with flippers attached, the U.K. Daily Mail reports.

Phillippe Croizon, 42, wants to swim 3.4 km. from Folkestone, England, to Cap-Grls-Nex in France. If he's successful, he'll be the only person to ever achieve this feat.

Nicknamed "Iron Man" Croizon lost his four limbs in 1994 when a TV aerial he was trying to repair touched an overhead power line, causing him to be struck with 20,000 volts of electricity. He had to have both arms and both legs amputated

He got the big swim idea in his hospital bed while watching a documentary about crossing the English Channel.

This is a dream and I'm determined to fulfill it", he told the Daily Mail.

"At first my parents thought the idea was mad, but I was determined to carry on. The more I practice in the sea, the more I feel confident.

He's been training in the bay at La Rochelle, with his physical education teacher and coast guards keeping watch.

He plans to tackle the Channel in September.
